Cap space post Davis signing

if rumors are correct, we should have close to 15 million bucks in cap space this year, and

that's got me wondering if something may be brewing.  We signed all the guys we wanted, and

we know Cam and Luke are expensive in the future...still, we have enough money to pick up

an expensive addition via free agency or trade if Getty wants to.....I don't think we will ..what do you think?

That hasn't been Gettemans style. He is reluctant to throw money around if it can be avoided on FA, etc. A contract extension for a guy like Norman is possible.....keep it in-house.

I don't think there's much left on the market. We might give someone an extension or just carry it over.

We have a lot of players to sign next year.   Look at the contracts that are up going into next year.  Plus where is the big hole except for LT? There aren't any sitting around waiting to be picked up.   We are fairly set at CB, LB, Safety (I believe it should be collin jones and tre boston imo), DL, RB, QB, WR,  However if we were to :

Hope Norman and his agent lock in early rather than testing FA.  (not likely).

Sign Kuechly long term? Not sure if we can yet. Plus he is on the rookie deal.

Sign KK long term.  Really want this to happen sooner than later.

Sign Star Long term.. see above.

That's about it. ... anything else I can't really see right now.

I think Gettleman has said in the past he likes a minimum of 6m in carryover. For "emergency" signings.

We can carry cap space over...  Carry over add the saved Cap onto a first year pay out/sign bonus.  Basically front load Luke Contract, have smaller impact long term.
