Today's Practice Skirmish

There were two skirmishes today. I didn't get a clear view of the first. The second, I saw very clearly.

Kony Ealy was lined up on the first team right end across from Michael Oher. The play didn't look out of the ordinary to me, but Ealy clearly took offense to how Oher was playing him. Ealy got in an extra shove at the end at which point Oher just started to bull doze him. As players intervened Ealy got in a last second large swing in a tomahawk chop kind of motion. I don't think it landed.

As the players rushed in to break it up, Cam Newton posed for the media in a joking way smiling ear to ear, knowing he was obstructing the view a bit.

After the fight was broken up, Star Lotulelei looked aggravated and was giving the offensive line a thorough tongue lashing. Its not often you see such emotion from Star.

Things got a little chippy in practice today. Rivera: “It’s disappointing. I think the heat got the best of us."

I feel the opposite of Rivera. I don't think it's disappointing at all. I think you need to have people showing they aren't going to be pushed around, by anyone. Obviously, you don't want anyone doing something stupid, and getting hurt. You do want that "I won't back down from anyone" mentality though.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
