Panther Fan Role Call

X-Clown on 1

Recommended Posts

Atlanta GA by way of Winston-Salem, NC. I was at the first Panthers win ever when Mills ran the shovel pass back for a TD vs. the New York Jets.  X-Clown play on TV in a bar here ties with it mainly because the stupid ATL fans were pulling against us the whole time. Also got to meet Kuechly, Barner, Ginn, Mikell, LaFell and Munnerlyn on the 2013 fancruise.  Hard to choose between them as to which is best because each happened at a different point in my life.  BTW Kuechly is a really class act, remembered my name and my wife's name the whole cruise, always said hello, Munnerlyn by far one of the funniest guys I have met.

Landrum, SC here. thats a mile from the state line between NC and SC on I-26. im about halfway between Asheville and Spartanburg.

I'll shout out for my dad too, since he doesnt often get on this site (he does have a profile @Superadiabatic). He lives in State College, Pennsylvania. No, we are not Nittany Lion fans. we love our Carolina Gamecocks and clemson can fug itself. ;)

Dad and I both were born just south of Charlotte in SC (Rock Hill to be exact)

I am originally from Greenville, SC. My earliest fan moment was being at Memorial Stadium for the first regular season win in franchise history. My favorite moment would be the x-clown win over the Rams. So frustrating up until that play, them BAM!!!! So many emotions in that game. The ultimate cardiac cats game.

The blocked extra point was pretty damn awesome too though.

I now live in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, so all of my Panthers news and experiences are lived vicariously through this site and everyone who still lives close enough to be there. Thanks for that.

Vivo cerca de Greenville. xq usted vive en la Republica Dominicana? para trabajo?

Born and raised in the small town of Elkin, NC. About 1.5 hours North of BoA on 77. Went to the Jacksonville game in 2011 for Cam's first win as a Panther. Torrential downpour flooded the front row of the lower level up to peoples knees. I was in the upper corner and didn't miss a second of the game.

From Danville Va

Now Sacramento Ca

There are a lot of great memories but the two that stick out to me is beating the Eagles in the NFC Championship game. I was in college, my roommates were from Philly we had people over and floated the keg (Yuengling) by halftime. To me it was in celebration. To the many Philly fans at my house it was to ease the pain... they were all gone by the 4th anyway.

As far as in person goes.... I was at the Aints rain game a few years ago. And it was the first time I actually felt our crowd was turning into a REAL football fan base.

Originally from just outside of Portland, Maine. My most vivid a clear memory is the Smitty X-Clown play against the Rams but my dad is always quick to remind me that I screamed at the TV, cried, and blamed the refs after the January 12, 1997 NFC Championship against the Packers when I was 6.

I think my fandom was fueled by a combination of me loving the Panther colors and logo at age 5, and my parents always vacationing in South Carolina. They would bring me back Panther's apparel, stuffed animals, and a Kerry Collins jersey (some role model for a 5/6 year old).

I was born in Chinquapin NC, and because my father was a preacher, we moved around a little bit, first to Morven, then Taylorsville and then to Charlotte in 1976.  I was in the 6th grade.  We stayed there and both my parents died there.  I went to school in Boone then got a job Fayettenam, and got transferred to Myrtle Beach in 1988...been here since.

I remember the boom when Charlotte got the Hornets...we were finally big time.  UNCC had made the final four in 77 and the town was rocking.  Davidson had some great success with Lefty Drisell and it was a basketball town.  I'll never forget the size of the headline on the Observer, and the energy in town.

But when the NFL said it was coming to Charlotte...that was a new level.  So that's my first memory...the announcement of the Carolina Panthers...it was incredible.

I'm from Scotland. Favourite Panthers moment...probably the moment that got me hooked. That last second throw from Delhomme to Rosario to beat the Chargers. If that play doesn't happen I probably have no interest in the Panthers (or NFL).

I'll be in the States in 2017 for some family stuff so hoping to take in a game or 2 then!

My first memory is very briefly seeing the panthers in the end of 96 championship when I was only 4 years old, one of my earliest visual memories in life. The most special was in 2001 going to my first game with my grand mother who got me into the panthers. We lost to the saints but I'm proud to say I wasn't to game the year they only won once. I hang my panthers hat on it.

i am from midway, Nc in Davidson county, right next to Winston-salem
