How much is to much for Micheal Floyd?

If they are actually shopping him or willing to get rid of him for a mid rounder, this is actually a very solid idea, and maybe even a possibility. Would be a best case scenario to replace KB, in my opinion. Not that he'd be as good as him or a "solid #1" but he would at least be a proven playmaker for us and would be better than anyone we have now. I wouldn't give up any more than a 3rd though, and I'm not sure that'd do it for them.

Michael Floyd's salary this year is $1.75 million with a cap hit of $3.1 million.

Next year his salary and cap hit blow up to $7.32 million.  For a guy who has averaged 800 yards a season and has caught 13 total TD passes in 3 years.

So... no.

If I  understand it right, they'd have to eat the bonus money on his contract.  He wouldn't be owed any guaranteed money from us.

Still, I would have to think they'd want more than we'd want to give up for him.  He's still pretty cheap this season and then they could just cut him next year.

It's his fifth-year rookie option, all-base and fully guaranteed, the new team would be responsible for the whole thing. Arizona seems to already be having buyer's remorse for exercising the option.

    • Did not expect this from national media. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/10-best-nfl-defenses-2026-texans-seahawks-broncos 10. Carolina Panthers   Key additions: OLB Jaelan Phillips (FA), LB Devin Lloyd (FA), DT Lee Hunter (draft) Key losses: DT A’Shawn Robinson (FA) Don’t be surprised to see the Panthers, who ranked 15th in points allowed and 16th in yards given up last season, make the leap into the top-10 conversation in 2026.  They added two of the marquee defensive free agents in edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and linebacker Devin Lloyd. Cornerback Jaycee Horn is coming off back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons. Carolina lost starting defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson in free agency but essentially replaced him with second-round pick Lee Hunter, who had 10.5 tackles for loss at Texas Tech last season.  Ejiro Evero, one of the NFL’s most respected defensive coordinators, has plenty of talent to work with.
    • unless you have a bonafide superstar at Qb you bring in competition every year until you do & or at the very least you want a legitimate plan B in case of an injury .the problem in Carolina is they know Bryce ayoung most likely could not actually win a real legitimate NFL Qb competition right now & if & when he did not win that aforesaid Qb competition it would not only be a major distraction but a setback to his overall development.& moreover once the fans realized they had a much better Qb on the roster it would be alot of public pressure to start the better Qb  ...just saying
