This place seems pretty dead today. Either this whole Kelvin Benjamin thing scared away the bandwagon or they're already drunk.

Tomorrow morning will be busy... either with a caravan of bandwagons or a parade of self-flagellating mourners. Either way I'll be here to join the fun.

Jeez, posted two hours ago and not even on page two this place really is dead.

Hopefully no one believes we will absolutely tank this season.  At the end of the day as an integral piece as KB was football is played on the field, not on paper.

We still have the same (but improved) Defense that will hold teams to minimal scoring. Many other positions on Offense have improved from last year as well.  Assuming that to be the case around 17 to 20+ ppg should be enough to win a decent amount of games.

Agreed with the improvements, and I personally don't think the sky is falling. I just want to see a solid O line performance and the back 7 of the defense stand tall. Also interested in seeing the D linemen and what they can do and Shaq, of course. Please, Football Gods, no more injuries!

      This is really a 50/50 pick 'em game IMO The reason why I'm leaning the Panthers?  I think an argument can be made that we have the best OL, running game, and defense on the field today.   That is usually a recipe for winning football games, especially on the road. On the other hand, Shanahan is a phenomenal coach and the 49ers have been in this spot countless times.  I don't even think we had a TNF game last year, so for Canales and many players, this is the biggest spotlight they will have played in as an NFL athlete.  On top of that, the injuries at the LB position could be a big problem against this offense that loves to attack that area of the field.

      We're banged up, they're banged up. Their stars available are better than our stars available. To win this one, it's going to have to be a gameplan a lot like we used against Green Bay... drag them down into the mud with us and see who has the ball when it gets to the end.

      Seeing as how the other thread somehow became a makeshift catch-all for this season, I figured we would do a 2.0 that’s more reflective of where we are now.  Kon is looking like he should be the favorite for ROY, and how gratifying that would be considering the NBA did everything in their power two out of the last three years to rob us of perceived generational talents and route Wemby and Flagg to their preferred destinations rather than Charlotte.  The Wemby one is gonna sting, but if we just got the best player in this most recent draft in Kon, it stings a little less.
