Other Team's Cuts

3 decent seasons in the Raiders offence suggest there's some talent there.

If he's so good, why didn't the Raiders keep him?

It's not like he got a big payday elsewhere. He signed a one year deal with the Bengals for $825k, and now they've already cut him.

Sounds like there is a little more to it.

Agreed, I'd want to know the backstory.  But, look at what people thought re: our signing Oher & Ginn.  And heck, even Tillman who folks thought was over the hill.  All three are looking like really solid additions for us.  Sometimes it is all about fit.

To be fair, that's asking alot.... 32 teams worth of cuts with the news dribbling in over 2 - 3 days.   There is this site if you just want the names of all who are cut straight up.

I know. I greatly appreciate these threads. I was joking. Please don't think I'm being an ungrateful prick.

If we're talking about picking WRs from other teams' cuts and waives then you'll find yourself asking that question a lot.

if we aim to be a ground and pound team this year AND we're concerned about Stew's health- Jackson would be a valuable addition.

Jacksons blocking ability - probably the best pass blocking back in the NFL - will really come in handy, too.  If you don't believe me, here is JJ Watt.

This came on Jackson getting under Watt to block him last year.
