Basically points how how Cam has less help than every other QB in the NFL, and how he's gonna have to carry the offense. They also believe we will finish 3rd in the NFCS, I think we can actually win it.

The last quote basically sums it up best " We'll be saying that the Panthers couldn't win playing 1970's football. Everyone else will be blaming Newton".

The sooner we stop playing and DRAFTING like its pre-merger football the sooner we start winning more games

I stopped it when they said our o line is the worst in the league. Haven't these guys watched any of the preseason, we held Miami and the pats at bay while Miami made the falcons oline look like a revolving door but hey lets pick the falcons to win the division.

There is gonna be alot of people recanting and eating crow. Sounds like a future thread for week 3

You don't know what your talking about. we drafted receivers back to back. tough luck that benji got injured but you move on.

panthers fan logic - lets draft only one receiver in the deepest WR class in NFL history, all the mean while we let go of every single receiver from last season roster.

He said outside of Kalil our O-line isn't that good, which is true. Since your bringing up pre season games Didn't Cam just get sacked around 3 times against a mediocre patriots pass rush.

The sad thing is where using pre season to validate how good our line is, when everyone knows damn well defensive coordinators are holding off in the pre season.

GM knob slobber logic - lets applaud every single move he makes but when we are struggling mid season for drafting linebackers and running backs every draft lets blame the coaches.

You mean struggling during the games where the Panthers are starting or subbing in Fozzy Whitaker, Brenton Bersin, Corey Brown, Andrew Norwell, Mike Remmers, Nate Chandler, Wes Horton, Mario Addison, Colin Cole, Dean Marlowe, Carrington Byndom, and Adarius Glanton?

The UDFA squad! I am positive they are not going to make for some poor match ups the other team will try to exploit.

Scary thing is they all have a strong possibility of starting at some point in the season.

By 2017, the Panthers will be sporting all udfa depth at this rate.

Sad but kind of true. Gotta agree with this article. Not saying we have been drafting terrible players but the neglect of the offense is very evident. No matter how good shaq might be can't help but think we would be better off with Perriman or dorsett in th first and dipping at wr or rb or tackle in thr second.

Per PFF, Norwell and Turner finished the season as the 16th and 23rd best guards in the NFL while Remmers was the top-rated tackle for several weeks.  While not a definitive authority, those metrics give a good sense of performance and saying the line sucks outside of Kalil is incorrect.

both those guys are struggling with injuries as of now. At least with Shaq he'll give us immediate production

    • I'm probably one of those posters, but I make those posts because there are too many things going on that don't make sense. For instance, how does a RB that does something that hasn't been done in 14 years immediately get reverted back to 2nd string, and it takes a leadership council to make him the starter when he's averaging 3x the YPC? Your average fan shouldn't be screaming that for 2 weeks before the coach sees it. And that's one of many.  What you're seeing is frustration that we could be better, that we should be better, if our owner, FO, and coaches could do things that are so painfully obvious to even the most basic fan
    • Cowboys. Patriots. Couldn't ask for two bigger villains.
    • I think we're all struggling with what things are right now and what they have been. It's like getting ready to have bandages removed after a long period of injury. The healing, the new growth, they aren't going to be pretty, there's going to be some ongoing issues for a while at best and there's every chance that we're going to have to go back into the bandage situation all over again. And that sucks. But it's also a place where maybe, just maybe, the recovery is going to finally start happening. The bad days will be getting behind us.  It's not going to happen this year, but I believe from what I see that this year is showing that improvement. We focus on the QB because that's what all the pundits focus on, because it's the flashiest and most heralded position on the field. No one wants to put out a tweet about how a center is holding down their job and anchoring a line. They rarely celebrate that blocking tight end or special teams gunner. That fourth CB on the depth chart? Not a mention. And yet, those guys are the kind that we've been building here, we're building the lunch pail guys AND finding some future stars.  Is Bryce one of them? Might be a cornerstone of the team in the future as the second QB, might somehow just show out to end the season. Might flame out like many expect. But if that uncertainty is all we concentrate on, we're just going to miserably look at this team and maybe miss out on some solid green shoots that are finally beginning to poke through into the sunlight.
