People like to waste their lives away complaining and whining about things that don't matter. If they want to live their lives in a negative way, then let them. I'm enjoying the win because at the end of the day that's all that matters

I guess another way to look at it...I shouldn't waste my life away whining about the whiners...

Good post though. This place is so full of negative people, but Jeremy Igo gives us the best Panthers content and coverage.

Guess we have to tolerate the bad in order to enjoy the good.

Maybe because we know we're going to have to be a lot better going forward.

They sure didn't look great in all areas, and that level of production won't get it against most teams, but some of us like to celebrate even an ugly win before we get back to bitching about the areas of concern.

Hell hath surely frozen over. I agree with AceBoogie...

I'm as happy as can be that we won yesterday, but it was against the Jaguars. And we looked bad. Efforts like that might win us the next four games (emphasis on might) but come week 6, we won't stand a chance playing the same way we did yesterday

We certainly can play better football, but we won 20-9 to an improved Jags team, and that is with a touchdown to Olsen being taken off the board, and a WIDE OPEN would be touchdown dropped by Ginn.

I can understand wanting better football from our team, but the mood on this board when the game easily could have been a blow out is a little absurd.

I think it is mostly because it was Jacksonville.

Everyone thinks that Jacksonville is like playing some highschool team or something.

The truth is that they are pretty decent team and they have been getting better. Bortles is actually a pretty good QB, the reason he sucked yesterday is because he was playing the Carolina Panthers... Who came to their house and beat them with a nasty defensive performance. 5 sacks, forced and recovered fumble, multiple interception, pick6, multiple tackles for loss, allowed only 13 points, and with multiple team captains and dependable starters on the sideline.

Next opponent has to come to our house...

I'd love to see the Jags go on a winning streak now, but with the Dolphins, Pats, and Colts up next for 'em, it looks like an 0-4 start. I hope they're more than a walkover at least.

I'm betting most of the same 'experts' who picked us to lose yesterday will be doing it again this week. We'll likely have to start 4-0 to get respect.

I didn't realize we had no weaknesses to explore or to discuss must celebrate 13 point offensive showing vs the JAGS.

Ginn dropped a sure TD pass that's worth discussing regardless of if we won or not and doesn't mean we aren't happy with a win.

Having Shula on or associated with the team in any way, shape, or form warrants discussion.

    • The Bucs waived shilo sanders after he got ejected.
    • I'm just tired of ppl saying he's so accurate and then have to see recievers slow down to recieve the ball, ruining any chance at YAC
    • Some people will really look at stuff like this and say "no more excuses" but then make excuses to try and explain away the validity of big-time throws. 🙃   Back on topic though, as I mentioned in the other AT thread earlier, I hope that the team is still exploring the deal. If the Vikings want the Panthers to take on some of the salary, then it had better be at worst a 4th-round pick (though I imagine Dan angling for a 3rd). If they're willing to take on all of it, then maybe at worst a 5th. Tough pill to swallow, giving up a 4th for a 35yr old WR, but if MIN believes they can have similar success behind McCarthy then it could be a smart deal for them. Hell, if AT has any gas in the tank and gives them a 1yr sweetheart deal to close out at home, even better for Minnesota. Yea, Bryce loses his best and most reliable WR. Hunter Renfrow though isn't what I would call a huge step down though (if he's as advertised throughout camp), and it gives more reps to TMac + XL + Coker. This season is all about continued development and answering some of the looming questions (Is Bryce the guy? Is Evero the DC going fwd? How do the young WRs develop? How long does it take this defense to bounce back from being historically awful?).
