how in the hell can yall not like this dude?

heh it's a cultural thing.  Things like trash talking, celebrating (td's, first down finger pointing, things like that) don't appeal to certain demographics and it's automatically annoying to them.  For example the whole "do it like Barry Sanders and just hand the ball to the ref" crowd.  They don't appreciate the joy and passion and creativity of celebrating and trash talking. 

These people are also often Tim Duncan fans (bleh).

Here is how he did with his week 1 predictions:

"Marc Sessler from NFL Around the League has picked 9 of 16 NFL games correctly. This is the 31st best out of all 42 experts. Marc Sessler has predicted the correct winner of NFL games 56% of the time."

So he's about as good as flipping a coin. His bold prediction was so off that he should apologize. The problem with these "experts" is that there is no standard for them being an expert. There are no requirements. If he does no better than my grandmother at predictions, then he remains employed. He has a job for life no matter how wrong he is about any prediction. Another thing that bugs me is that he's more than willing to make extremely negative and unfounded predictions about small market teams, but I seriously doubt he would ever pull that with a large market team. Time and time again these "experts" trash our team, and then don't even bother to admit they didn't know what they were talking about.

If he said "I want to apologize to the Panthers and their fans for trashing their secondary. I wanted to make a splash with a bold prediction, and I knew I could get away with dumping on a small market team. The problem is that I don't watch Panther games, and I thought I could get away with guessing that their secondary was bad. I'm sorry. I'm going to start watching Panther games now, and not unfairly shitting on them. I would never do that to a big market team, so it's unfair that I did it to the Panthers. I was wrong. It was a wild guess based on a glance at their roster, and SportsCenter highlights. I'm sorry."

If he was honest and said that then I would be his biggest fan. He has 40k twitter followers, so his nonsense is working pretty well.

Looks like a publicity stunt as most of his actions have been. He takes notice of where all the cameras are this season so he can look directly at them and make a statement after he makes a play - while he is still on the field. He picks out national reporters to place himself on a social media stage.

Hate to say this, but Josh is off the Panthers' reservation and playing for himself and not the team. The Panthers could end this with a contract extension, but I believe both them and Norman know he is not sticking around after this season.

Always thought he gave the Panthers the best chance to win, but he is willing to make more costly mistakes with the Xs and Os for his defense as long as he makes enough highlight worthy plays to prop up his face and name.

As a teammate, you have to admit he is getting to a place where you can not trust him to have your back. He will hang you out to dry like he did Roman Harper and Kurt Coleman if it means he has a chance at a highlight type play.

This is straight out of Deion Sanders and Darrell Revis book of player marketing on how to get paid.

It is only a matter of time before this costs the Panthers against the top QBs in the NFL. The ones the Panthers need to get by to win a championship. But as long as Norman gets the attention and gets paid, he does not seem to care what happens to the team, his teammates, or the fans.

To be fair, Josh said today on the radio that the reason he got that pick was because Coleman did his job. Josh emphasized Coleman was the catalyst.

But...

Later on the radio, TD was asked why they did so well in the 2nd half, and TD seemed to subtly call out Josh for not doing his job at the end of the 1st half. At least that's how I heard the conversation. I could be wrong.

So you're insulting Josh by comparing him to Deion Sanders and Darrelle Revis, two of the best corners to ever play the game?

If it weren't for the plays he made on Sunday the Panthers very well might be 0-1 today.
