I'm still of the mind that you pay him a little more than he's asking because it is going to be less than what he'll get if he hits the open market. 

 

And regardless, it's entirely possible he never hits the open market anyway because we would (hopefully if we're smart) franchise him anyway.

The coaches/staff wasn't lying claiming this was the best secondary we've had in a while.  I think we should be able to get him at an avg of 8.75-10 mil/yr on a new contract.
