About that Jameis touchdown pass...

I realize that they can't catch them all, but when it's one like this that so clearly affects the play and the head ref should be in position to see, it's really irritating...

...and it's not just us, I saw several obvious, blatant holds against the Lions last night that allowed Wilson to escape the pocket that weren't called.

On that note, did anyone else notice all the no calls last night (NOT THE BIG NO_CALL) in regards to holding against the Seahawks as well.  Their were multiple times when Wilson would start scrambling and their O-line would be behind a Lion player with their arm across the defenders chest.

The holding calls and facemask penalties that were not called far outweigh the ones that were called.  And yes I know that holding penalties could be called all the time but when they impact the play and allow quarterbacks to escape obvious sack opportunities it feels like BS. One of the main reasons we have so few sacks this year  is a number of times our front four got pressure but were pulled down from behind or tackled

It was particularly bad last night. It wasn't just brief holding they were hanging on to guys for 4-5 seconds.

    • I was reading through the thread seeing if someone would mention this. This is exactly what the Canes are doing and Tripp Tracy alluded to it on the Spittin Chiclets podcast when he said Taylor Hall was our Sam Bennett. The Canes and Panthers have always played identical with the main difference being Florida toes the line between physical and dirty. The Canes have stepped up the physical play this year and are inching closer to that line of physical and dirty. If I’m being honest, as a Montreal fan I wouldn’t love the fact that the Canes seem to be targeting Hutson but as a Canes fan I love it because this is what you have to do in the playoffs. Unfortunately for Montreal they aren’t an overly physical team outside of Anderson and Xhekaj; only the Avs, Stars, and Sabres average less hits per game than Canadians in the playoffs. The Canadians can still make this a series if they stop playing scared and turning the puck over simply because they are getting elite goaltending while the Canes are getting average goaltending but if the Habs continue to play with the yips and either Andersen steps up or Dobes regresses then this series could end in five.
    • I guessed Andy Reid too on that Price is Right. As if I had any idea….
    • Yet I bet you he still is able to pressure him. I guess it depends on your bottom line evaluation of what Bryce is. In my opinion he is low hanging fruit for anyone with even a D game.
