Hardy is accused of of assault with no clear cut evidents = We are supposed to assume he did it.

Case is dropped due to victim not showing up for court case= We are supposed to assume Hardy paid her off

All this adds up to "stupid for defending him".....the blind judgement is strong in some of you.

This, literally replace hardy's situation with any former panther player and that's the handbook for the huddle

"My opinion is this and it's right,if you disagree you're an idiot who thinks this is madden"

Hardy is very talented and would help us on the field, but I'm glad he's not a member of the team.  He's a loose cannon and in time will likely screw up again and cost the Cowboys.  With that said, I think JR and DG would never have let him leave if public opinion hadn't forced their hand.  It was clear he was a time bomb, yet we tagged him and he suited up week 1.  JR and DG could have taken a stand but they waited until the Rice video started a firestorm.

I don't honestly care about his guilt or innocence in the case.

He's unstable and not very bright.

I have zero interest in throwing millions of dollars at someone with a that profile.

Your post was regarding people 'defending him.' Not whether or not the Panthers should have kept him or not. Personally I feel we made the right decision letting him walk. And certainly after seeing what the Cowboys paid him. But I don't think he's a "wifebeater" as everybody in the national media and the general public believes.

White knights disgust me.      We live in a world where if a woman accuses a man of abuse...      then it's 100% fact the guy is guilty. ..and if someone tries to look at it objectively,  you get the generic mumbled response of -"Duhh,  you're just trying to blame the victim,  "

Just have to smile and nod,  and let them live in their little world where no female would skew the facts of a situation,  and every guy accused of assault,  is 100% guilty.          Since the white knights aren't capable of looking at a whole situation with an open mind.

I still wish we resigned him. He has a base salary 500k and cap hit of 3 mil. Thats 10+ mil DE for a fraction of the cost.

Everyone is outraged about his comments because they're assuming he's guilty. I'm not upset cuz he was never proven to b guilty and still says that he was innocent. And there's no doubt in my mind that the chick was crazy so you never know what could've happened. Anyways...

You couldn't get that value from any other player.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
