Gettlemans took a lot of heat last year for the embarrassing play of the O-Line, perhaps some of it justified, but he's done an unbelievable job building it up, think the highlight last night was when the Eagles sent out a full on blitz and none of their players got past the line of scrimmage giving Cam all day to make a play, talk about a dramatic turnaround from the last Eagles game

I mean, I'm one of the few that gives Dave a pass on the OL issues of last year. Not only was he strapped for cash, but the market was devoid of talent and then literally HALF the previous year's offensive linemen decided to retire together.

He was screwed from the get go. Still managed to Draft Turner, pick up norwell, find Remmers off a practice squad, and then drafted a solid rookie at OT this year.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

Once Williams gets back and gets some reps, the line should be even better.  It's a complete 180 since last year.

Where is Williams going to play except in jumbo sets with an extra tackle? He's not going to play LT, we're not going to bench Remmers for him and we're certainly not going to bench Kalil and have Remmers play center so Williams can play RT. OL is not like the DL where you rotate guys. You have a set 5 and barring injury they play the entire game. It will be nice to have him healthy but I wouldn't expect much at all from him this year. It's just a numbers game.

Yea Very nick pickup...and Norwell beasting as an UDFA helps so much obviously.

it's unreal how well this group had performed.

On the flip side, we need more depth and most of our current OL will all be coming up on FA collectively.

Makes me wonder if we are gonna try to keep Norman, 'cause he is gonna be looking for a payday number $ that we could be using to sign all of our current OL...and we have Star and Short to consider as well.

Williams was getting solid PT as far as rookies go.  Remmers has been beaten on some downs due to fatigue.  I definitely see Williams getting some snaps.

Williams has literally played one snap all season and it was on the field goal unit when he got injured.

you mean Larry Allen the hall of fame guard?

I remember watching a rookie Larry Allen get thrown around like a ragdoll by a one-armed Reggie White.

A few years later he was the best offensive lineman in the league.

I learned a lot from that about having patience with rookies.
