The Falcons have outright "won" what, 1 game?  Against Houston? 

 

Some credit to them for the come from behind wins, but they're incredibly flawed and incapable of playing a full game to me.

Losing to GB would not be a totally bad thing imho. Don't necessarily want to lose it, but beating them in January would be much better.

FYI they also lost to the Bucs at home.  As long as WE beat the Bucs at home, we only need a split to win our 3rd straight crown.  In other words, right now we have what amounts to a 3 and 5 game lead over our competition.

Yea the Falcons are the softest team in the division....the saints and bucs aren't nearly as tough as the Panthers and the Falcons and Saints are the teams that have given up picks and have made moves for a "win now" type of scenario...the Panthers are built for the long haul....just imagine when Brees is done...

Beating them now just means we get to beat them here at home again in jan. Which I  not opposed to.

This brings up some interesting scenarios.  What if we have a loss with GB and drop 1 to Falcons, the Saints get on a winning streak.........too much math.  Where's the Glennfiddich?

Atlanta losing today will most likely give us the tiebreaker at the end of the season if we end up with the same record. All we have to now is split with Atlanta now and either beat NO in the dome or beat Tampa in Charlotte and the tiebreaker would be ours. I think we will end up with a better record at the end of the season honestly. It's looking pretty darn good for a back to back to back division championship right now but there is still a lot of football to be played.
