Our Super Bowl window is officially here in 2015. Time to trade for Calvin Johnson.

you have to capitalize on ideal circumstances .. you can't just expect things to keep going this well or better through subsequent seasons you never know who gets injured who gets traded next season, which draft picks actually work out.

Its basically a lot of hypothetical and what ifs (well we'll keep getting good draft pics, everyone be healthy next year [Come on man] , everyone keep playing at an alltime high level next year [hell no guarantee of that at all] )  vs here - and - now lets go get a Super Bowl Win my brothers (Do all you can to win the super bowl when you have all the momentum and great current play and current versions of players THIS season)

If i was the man with the power to make that decision I'd make it a fuging heartbeat.

We'll make playoffs no prob with this wr core. As others have said idk if its good enough to win a SB with. Would be all for trading away a 4th or lower for a player that doesn't fug us over long term. Sad thing is is we literally need a KB type true number one. Wort season for him to go down

There's no guarantee CJ would net us a SB. Given his salary, it is guaranteed that he would put us in a tough cap situation again.

No thanks. I want sustained success.

And I want a SB. Would rather get a ring and suck for the next 3 years then  pull a bengals

1. Yes we're 7-0.

2. Yes we're putting up 27.3 points a game.

3. None of that will mean anything if we need a receiver to make a tough catch on 4th and 13 against the Packers in the NFC title game or the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

I don't want to be just satisfied with an NFC title game appearance. I want to win the damn trophy for once.

I want to win one just as badly too. But since Gettleman has gotten here he has stuck to his cap plan to get AND keep us out of cap trouble while signing and keeping our core together. Cam Luke Davis Olsen, soon to be Norman Star Short KB. Instead of paying for other teams players we are keeping ourselves in a great position to keep our own good players. Calvins contract is ridiculous.

Randy Moss requires 0 picks and I believe he is here in the Charlotte area with his kid.

I was all about going after Vernon Davis. Excellent for the Panthers style of offense. Run 2 TE sets and let Cam choose which TE to motion out wide or to the slot to create mismatches.

Oh well, Peyton gets to enjoy that option now.

Can we trade for one of the Dolphins or Jaguars WRs? Hell, give up a first round pick for Allen Robinson, Jarvis Landry, Allen Hurns, or Julius Thomas.

Calvin Johnson is 30 now. No 1st rounder for him. 3rd at best.

The best option is bringing Alshon Jeffrey home. You could probably get him for a 2nd round pick.

Wish lists.

    • Personally I think he's a nightmare to cover I think linebackers generally aren't fast enough to keep up with him in coverage and cornerbacks don't have the strength to tackle him one-on-one in physically bring them down which would normally lead to a broken tackle or a nasty stiff arm or just bully ball play sure you could find a receiver with comparable speed like Cooper but he's faster than Cooper sure you can find a wide receiver that is the same size but he's probably More powerful than them and a better blocker.  The size speed athleticism package that he is in is completely unique it's easier to say I'd rather have just a big blocker because we've never seen this type of profile before I'm a risk taker I think you would be God blessed if this was there at 19 I think if you can get a guy that's a tight end who immediately becomes the fastest guy on your offense and at the same time that third wide receiver that can stretch and burn defenses over the top that's the perfect what the Panthers need type weapon.
    • I think you're under selling Sadiq. They are two different players in terms of how they win. Loveland is 2 inches taller maybe 5-6 pounds heavier. Comparing his speed to sadiq.. well your comparing a 4.7 guy to a 4.3 guy I'm seeing a guy that can take a bubble screen from the tight end position and turn it into a house call. I'm not saying the guy is a certified home run pick but I don't think there's really a president's for a comparison for this kind of athlete. It's easy to say this doesn't look like Warren or Loveland because we haven't seen guys that fit this profile The closest you might be able to get is Vernon Davis.  He's not as sure far as those guys were but at 19 I think almost everybody is going to have some warts and he's a lottery ticket of could be top 10 in the draft player or could fail I am more of a risk taker I think he fits the athletic profile that could be a homerun, like I said he's almost 40 lb bigger than Cooper and like 4-5 in taller than Cooper so and he's faster. So whatever you think Cooper gives you I think he does that and more. If you want to go with one of the office alignment I can understand that as well but for value as a receiving threat I don't think there's a bigger value at number 19.
    • I’ve haven’t seen anything that says we have interest in Njoku?
