Dri Archer anybody?

I really liked this kid when he came out of Kent State. Seems like a guy we could maybe revive, and turn into a decent option. Ran a 4.26 40 yard dash and at the very least could potentially give us a fast receiving threat out of the backfield.

I hate when people don't understand how perspective in photography works. Anyways we basically already have this guy in Byrd. We don't need another crappy project receiver

I like how when anyone makes a thread like this, everyone flocks in to trash the guy seemingly forgetting that our WR corps consists of no one who would be higher than #4 on the depth chart on most other NFL teams.  No one is suggesting signing a guy like this to big guaranteed money, but it doesn't cost anything more than the cost of a plane ticket and a hotel room to bring a guy in for a workout and given the state or our WR corps, why not?  You say this guy sucks, well so does virtually everyone currently suiting up at WR for us.  If he sucks slightly less than the worst WR on our roster then we have a chance to upgrade our roster.

Nope. That's why he was cut. He's fast as hell but all he did was run sideways and out of bounds really fast. He doesn't play WR and he's too small to play RB. He might be useful for a few gadget plays here and there but since he adds no value as a returner or special teamer he would be a wasted spot on the active roster to use once or twice a game.

I'd love to bring him in, but he needs to be in a spread type offense to max out his potential. 

With that said, I'd take his explosivness over Fozzy on those stupid 3rd down RB screens Shula calls every week.
