A hot take from the Patriots message board

Their Offense

In my opinion, their offense seems pretty simplistic but is effective. Obviously Cam is a beast and will be the biggest challenge.

How We Could Attack It

Try and contain the sides, keep Cam in the pocket. Double Olsen (with Ryan and McCourty) and make the inexperienced wideouts beat you.

Guys. Guys. They figured it out. We're doomed.

Or...they could just video our practices, screw with our headphones, steal our signals, and let some air out of the gameballs so it's easier for Brady to throw. That has worked for them in the past.

p.s.  Fug the Patriots!

If he thinks our offense is simple that is his first mistake. The only thing simplistic appears to be understanding of our scheme and our players. The problem for example in using man coverage on us is our running game which is described as the most complex in the NFL. And the list goes on. Seems their fans really don't know much besides their own team.

    • So we cut him if we don't give him the option?  I'm pretty sure there are players who didn't get the 5th-year option that played year four of their rookie contracts with their draft team.
    • I didn't say do nothing if we don't draft one in the 1st and I"m not counting on a FA to magically become a franchise QB. But signing a FA to be our starter for the year and then re-address the next offseason would be FAR better than reaching on the wrong QB in the 1st this offseason. Feeling we HAVE to find our long term solution just because we need a new QB is how we got into this mess.  We thought Two Gloves would be at worst an average level QB for a few years, that didn't happen, so we went out and traded for Darnold.  That didn't work so we went out and traded for Baker, that didn't work so we went out and traded up to get Bryce. Our last 4 QB moves were all trying to force a solution, none of them worked out, and we're still trying to find Cam's replacement all these years later.  We'd just have been better off spending a year or two building up the rest of the team and going year to year on FA QB's while doing so.  I get it, it will be frustrating to deal with, but then when you find that actual long term solution, they plug right into an already built out roster and you're ready to contend immediately.
    • Great win, should be 3-0 but I'll take 2-1. LaMelo is an MVP caliber player, period.   This is looking like an incredible draft so far. Sion James looking like the exact type of role player that all contending teams need to have, absolute steal in the 2nd. Kalk is a work in progress and I question how much upside he has but he's already been a considerable upgrade at C for us compared to the last several years (outside of healthy Mark which of course was rare).   Really seems like new ownership/front office has change the culture here significantly. Every guy looks bought in now.
