Again, kudos and pie to the @Panthers social media team:

Carolina Panthers Have NFL’s Fastest-Growing Social Fanbase

New figures from Unmetric show that the Panthers have a Facebook fanbase growth rate of 3.54 percent — more than triple the next fastest-growing team, the Arizona Cardinals (0.93 percent). The Panthers are also growing twice as fast as the Cardinals on Twitter (8.36 percent growth rate vs. 4.15 percent).

The Panthers also have the most engaged NFL fanbase on Facebook. While the Denver Broncos posted the most times from Nov. 10 to Dec. 1, the Panthers had the highest Unmetric Engagement Score — a near-perfect 995.

Facebook comments make me sad. I don't look at Panthers stuff on Facebook anymore.

Oh my god you're not even kidding. I had to leave the panther's facebook group a few years ago.

For those who have never joined or seen it, Imagine that PU, Grits, Haplo, and SMF had a giant orgy and spawned a living entity then gave it internet access. Then clone it 1000 times.

It is the most ignorant and idiotic cesspool of "fandom" I have ever seen. Like a caricature of what you would expect a dumbass Panther fan to be.

Bandwagon smh

In fairness: Not everyone's a "bandwagon fan (and all that means IMO)"

Now that the Panthers are winning, and Cam's having an MVP type year (along with other things, and players), the Panthers are being exposed to a greater amount of NFL and non NFL fans, and they like what they see, and like the team.

Nothing wrong with that!

I think it's just a small group of haterz (most likely repeat offenders), who spread all this hate. Cause if you look at Panther game ratings, Madden Votes, MVP fan votes etc., Cam and the Panthers do very well. We have to remember that sometimes.

So, it appears to be a just a small, but very determined, loud group of repeat haterz out there. Of course, there were some general fans that believed some of this (especially from those haterz in the media) as well. However, when they see Cam play, or hear some good stories, they usually change their mind.

You're 13-0 right now. I say just laugh at them Panthers fans. Cause that stuff sure didn't feel good, the times the Panthers were struggling, or not living up to their ability (for whatever reasons).

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
