Explain why it was YOUR fault the panthers lost today...

Well... not really my fault per se.  But the in-laws came into town just for the day and really threw a wrench in the gameday mojo.  I have a system and routine to deal with stress on gameday and they totally killed it.

Plus they are Browns fans and they brought all their negative pixie dust and just blew it all over my Panthers.

I told my wife it was their fault and now she wont talk to me.

Probably for the best.  I am ornery right now!!

Sounds like we found the problem.........

Guilty as charged.  For the first time all season (minus the Jacksonville opener at Dilworth Grill) I have watched all games in the same outfit, in the same spot in my living room, standing up and pacing the floor, drinking my prescribed amount of beverages down to the fugging milliliter.

But today, because of Christmas schedules, we were at my brother in laws place with the wife's family.  Great people, not big panther fans.  The game was on so i watched the first half, then later came home and watched the rest on dvr.

Fug my life, I killed this team.  Please let this not be the beginning of a tail spin at the worst possible time.  May they rebound strongly against Tampa and lock up HFA.

Also got a Norwell jersey for Christmas and wore it for the game. He played very poor today... Should've worn my Cam or TD like I have the rest of the season.

Yep. I blame my jersey as well. I wore my dad's 2XL in the dome instead of wearing my normal Large jersey.  Just wanted a blue jersey to show up more in the stands..... I'll stick with wearing the colors the team wears now. Sorry guys.

Totally my fault. Every time I watched a game or part of the game, the Panthers struggle. For all the wins, I have kept up on my phone via Twitter and nfl.com.

Today, during the first quarter, when Tillman had that penalty wiping out a 3rd and 15, I was watching in tv. Huddle, I'm sorry. I watched the game and jinxed us. Needles to say I will no longer watch games again...

    • Wanting that type of play and being okay with paying $55 million a season for it are two entirely different things. If Bryce were to become the same player Purdy has been, then he would surpass my expectations of him and I'd be okay with him as our QB of the future (and again, I've long been one of the bigger anti Bryce people here who doesn't think he is capable of being our long term solution). But in no world would I be okay with paying him THAT kind of money, paying an average starter elite money is just a terrible decision.
    • I don't think they can overcome that mistake. Hell Lance was a hiccup compared to this. He isn't going to be able to carry that price tag and now he is going to have to do just that. Lol. The NFL is so dumb sometimes.
    • So, one could say that T-Mac is quicker than someone of his size should be and while he might not be quite as fast as Evans in the 40, he's more athletic than Evans. If only someone, anyone, could have seen that in his tape and mentioned that on here, hmmmmmmm In all seriousness, hearing he tested in the 89th percentile in that drill at his size is crazy impressive.  Just tried to look up the times of the top WRs in the league right now, most don't show at time for that, but I did see Chase ran his in 7 seconds flat. I honestly don't know how true this is, but I do remember seeing one breakdown of his tape and the person said he has quiet and efficient feet.  That he's really good at using the minimal steps possible to make his cuts and because of that, it actually makes him look slower to the human eye because you don't see all the quick chop steps that the guys like Tyreek would use in their running. I'm still in a state of disbelief that he's a Panther and it might not fully hit me until week 1 and I see him out there making plays for us, still feels like Goodell is going to just be like, "YOU GOT PUNKED!!!  hahaha, he's a Cowboy now, suck it"
