Pretty unusual to see a coach fired days before the last game.

To those who wanted him here before, anybody still think that would have been a good idea?

I saw this coming when he was first hired. I remember saying he wasn't going to last long in the NFL trying to run a college offense in the NFL. Good job for the Eagles. Chip came into Philly acting like the new sheriff in town trying to run things and came out looking like a fool.

Yea after blowing up the entire roster, refusing to play DeMarco Murray after signing him to a huge contract, and sucking ass this year, this is obvious.  McDermott is going back.

Philly fans are dancing in the streets. I'm surprised this didn't happen earlier. He gutted this team and it's going to be tough to recover from some of his GM/Coaching decisions....

I guess Chip's heading back to the college game. No NFL team wants anything to do with him.

i remember his first game, i think against the redskins, running mike vick and the entire offense like an accelerated two-minute drill from the first snap. i thought he was gonna be greg schiano 2.0.

he wasn't quite, but if greg schiano had been given GM authority over personnel they comparison might've been apt.
