this looks more bad on the Eagles then it does kelly. Firing him before the season is even over with a coach that has a 26-21 record over three seasons? Either they had word chip was planning on bailing and wanted to save face or something else happened but this isn't because Chip Kelly is a bad coach.

Word was that after the Panthers front office called George Seifert in and told him he was canned, he went to the players and talked to them about what they were gonna be doing next year. Nobody had any idea he was fired until they told them later.  It was bizarre.

Regarding Kelly, I won't argue that it isn't deserved (it is) but not even letting him coach the last game of the season? That's kinda cold.

Lurie asked him to give up personnel control and Chip said no.

Lurie blew it giving that type of control to begin with and then try to reign it back in.

I'm saying it now. Murray will NEVER get a 1k yards again. Dallas knew he hit his wall and gladly traded him. For Kelly not to know that told me he isn't a good pro talent evaluator.

I think Chip needed someone to manage the cap for him. Made stupid cap trades.

I think he'd be a good NFL coach if he was the coach only.

The Panthers run a college offense. But thr Panthers have Cam Newton. Not Brady Quinn or whichever one of them rich pretty white boys they have now
