Would be wise to remember how Gettleman approached last year's draft.

If there's a player we really want, I wouldn't assume we'll stay in our spot.

This could be very true.  However, we probably won't have comp picks this year to offset any picks we trade.  Also, didn't we give up a late pick for either Norwood or Allen?  I forget... I think one was a 2016 pick and one a 2017 pick...

So, we could already be working with a small draft class, making it less likely for G'man to give up picks...

We gave up 7th rounders, so it's not huge hits anyway.  If he can jump up and grab a "blue goose" somewhere, the back end of the draft won't be too much of a loss.

Possible. I do think he'll pull the trigger on a player he really wants though.

Keep in mind we don't have as many needs as we used to, and we'll have more freedom in free agency this year.

ogbah at the end of the 1st would be awesome, though we'd have to hear all summer about how gettleman hates cam and is sabotaging his career.

Yeah, cuz a #1 scoring offense (which will also have KB next year) needs a lot of work. lol!

Do we not get any comp picks for Hardy? I know a lot was made about this when the NFL was determining the length of his suspension.

No we won't. We signed Tillman and Coleman and the only qualifying players we lost were Hardy and Bell. A net player loss of zero means we go to the back of the line with value lost behind players lost and there are more qualifying players lost than there are picks so we get nothing.

Allen was for a 2016 6th rounder and Norwood was for a conditional 2017 6th rounder which we don't know the conditions for but will likely turn into a 7th or nothing since he doesn't play.

Thanks. I was going to look up the info, but glad someone else beat me to it.
