Huddle Contest: Tickets and Pregame Field Passes

I've been a Panthers fan since I was 6 years old in 1995. My family and I went to the first every game in Atlanta that year. Fast forward 20 years and I have moved to Charlotte for work and have gotten to take part in one of the best seasons in franchise history. The huddle is my most visited website for the last several years, only behind Reddit. I'd love the chance for field passes.

Please read my message all the way through to understand why my husband and I are the perfect choice. My husband is a quiet guy except when it comes to football Sunday's. i wish I could say my husband left the army because he hated deploying and being away from family, but truth be told I think it was because he wanted to watch the Carolina Panthers and not get interrupted. This last year was slightly challenging and without telling a sad story I would love to do something wonderful for my heroic husband. He is kind and loving father and more than anything loves and lives his Carolina Panthers. It would be a huge blessing to be awarded this opportunity. The joy on his face is the only thing I can give back to him. Please a 1,000 x's over. When my husband told me about this entry I immediately signed up to enter. Thank you for your consideration.

The last game I went to was when the franchise was resurrected against the Giants in 2013. When JR was on the field, the city electric, and the best seats i've ever had, it was heaven. I have tried three different times to go to games this year. I bleed black and blue like no one else. Something, something, Cam Newton's penis. Point is, it would probably complete my miserable life to attend this playoff game. One of my best friend's is a bandwagon Shecocks fan who abandoned the Browns. I would just love to poo in his face in real life at that game when we win. I'd even buy his bandwagon ass a jersey. I've suffered through Chris Weinke 1-15 and Pickles 2-14. I had season tickets twice thanks to a friend only to end up seeing Vinny Testaverde and Matt Moore as our QB. Simply put, I would love to go to this game.

On top of it is my 12th wedding anniversary and I would live to give my wife this as a present.

NAUSEOUS NOCTURE (From The Essential Calvin and Hobbes, introduction)

Another night deprived of slumber,
Hours passing without number,
My eyes trace ’round the room.

I lay dripping sweat and now quite certain
That tonight the final curtain
Drops upon my short life’s precious play.

From the darkness, by the closet
Comes a noise, much like a faucet
Makes a madd’ning drip-drip-dripping sound.

It seems some ill-proportioned beast,
Anticipating me deceased,
Is drooling poison puddles on the ground.

A can of Mace, a forty-five,
Is all I’d need to stay alive,
But no weapon lies within my sight.

Oh my gosh! A shadow’s creeping,
Omnious and black, it’s seeping
Slowly ‘cross a moonlit square of light!

Suddenly a floorboard creak
Announces the bloodsucking freak
Is here to steal my future years away!

--------------------------------------------------

More thanks to calvin and hobbes

Panthers are perfect
The E-pit-o-me
Of good looks and grace
And quiet dignity!

Keep Pounding

Don't want to be entered for the contest, since I couldn't attend anyway, but I'll contribute to the topic.

I don't like to be sappy or anything, so that's not my intent.  But in all truthfulness the Panthers are one of my main sources of stability.  I'm in the military, as I know a number of our fellow Huddlers are, so I'm going to be presumptuous and attempt to speak for us all.

The Panthers are a source of stability.  We have to move around a lot.  Some more than others.  Some to less than desirable places.  Some of us have to be separated from our families for extended periods of time.  Some of us have to experience things that most people will never even have nightmares about (luckily, I'm not one of those).

For those times we're over in a desert living in a tent, or out on a ship, or otherwise disconnected from the lives that being an American means we're all entitled to (well most of us, I know we got some international folks here....we love yall!), we have the Panthers to remind us of home.  In some cases we have the means to watch games.  In some cases all we have is the internet to keep us apprised of what's going on (thank you baby Jeebus for the Huddle!).  Our lives can be chaotic, unpredictable, can be uprooted at a moments notice.  When we're alone somewhere remote, sometimes surrounded by people we don't know even though they're our allies, shipmates, or brothers-in-arms, we have two things to keep us grounded and sane.  Our love for our families, and our love for our Panthers.  Thank God for them both.

My love of the Panthers is what brought me to NFL football. I considered it boring at one point in my child hood but when the Panthers were introduced to the league , I really became interested in football. From the playing at Clemson days. To Ericsson stadium to Sam Mills intercepting Favre in the NFc championship , I have followed this team every year. Now it's our time and I would love to be at the game acting a fool cheering us on.

in short form, I will take them!!!! Lol

    • Darrell Jackson would be a fantastic pickup for us, I think he could replace 80% of what A’Shawn gave us last year. With more passing rush upside going forward in the future, I’m a big proponent of large framed defensive tackles. Pairing Derrick Brown with another 6’5 35inch arm length DT would be so fun to watch. Let’s continue being huge in the middle, allow our linebackers to flow to the ball uninterrupted.
    • Fully agree that the best thing to do is ignore them, which takes a away their thrill of thinking they got to you.
    • I agree with you on the pick of Thienemen in the first. I think he will still be there and he's a smart, fast and sturdy player. He's who we need back there. In the second, I like Rodriguez over Golday. I agree that off the ball linebackers are desperately needed here, even with our great FA pick up. I think with our third pick, we're going to dip into OT territory instead of the D-line. While I agree that we need another disruptor at the point of attack that is stout enough to just stonewall a center and a guard at the same time, we've got a shaky and expensive O-line at the present that is just about to age out of the game. I think we snag Blake Miller out of Clemson here and give him a year behind Moton to learn and put some weight and strength on. He can also jump right in and play right guard at any time. Also, and this might sound crazy, but anyone who has put up with multiple seasons at Clemson will be able to take the heat and humidity of training camp at the start of the season and early games against the NFCSouth.  Beyond that, your guess is as good as mine. We do need that QB for competition and realistically to study for back-up. Luke Altmyer out of Illinois seems to fit the mold of the point guard type QB that they want from Bryce. That'd make an apples to apples situation that could make coaching and game planning easy. On the other hand North Dakota State's Cole Payton could be an intriguing choice as well as a big dual threat guy. Both could be there for our fourth pick or both could be gone. Will QBs continue to slide this season like last? Who knows?
