Expect that to be a big part of this game.

Prior to the snap, you're likely to see both guys adjusting to adjustments that were adjusted to adjust for other adjustments.

Should be fun to watch.

It's going to be extreme chess, from a footballing perspective it's going to be something else seeing two of the greatest minds of the sport face off directly against each other, of course I hope Manning ends up eating dirt by the end of the game

Regardless of what happens, Luke and Davis are two of the best LBs in the NFL.  Both are very adept at reading plays and making great decisions.  Hopefully Thomas can play a prominent role Sunday because Manning will be changing plays a lot.

An advantage for us is that we can defend a shorter field.  He just doesn't have the arm strength to really push the ball down the field.  It's going to have to arc and float down the field.  So long as we do a good job in coverage against that, the short game will be eaten up by Luke and Thomas.  We just have to push the middle with KK and Star.  If they can get that in your face pressure on Manning, it's going to make his job much more difficult.

Not sure if anyone caught it but there is also an "odd Janitor" play as well. Heard it during one of the post season games.

I heard TD talking about the calls and he mentioned the even/odd component.  Didnt get into it but your right.

Call it blatant homerism but I think our TD / Kuechly have the upper hand.  Manning is one of the sharpest (mentally...not so much physically anymore) QBs I've ever seen play but Kuechly is equally adept at adjusting our D to what an offense is doing pre-snap.  If that holds true then it comes down to which side can play well enough to overcome the other and I'm betting on our D 10 times out of 10.

Maybe Manning will pull out his fountain of youth for this game and make me eat my words, but I doubt it.

Regardless of the outcome this should be fun to watch...even if the game isn't close.

On the Broncos board, they we saying Ron always had good success against Manning in San Deigo by lining up in one coverage, letting Manning make his calls, and then switching into another defense when the play clock dropped down inside of 6 seconds.  At that point Peyton didn't have time to change the call again.  Apparently, it gave Manning fits.  Of course they said that was not a Kubiak based offense like it is now but I still expect a lot of last second changes to the defense as the play clock winds down.

I always thought Mannings mind was his biggest asset and his own weakness at the same time. He tries so hard to control everything that when it doesn't go his way he loses his ability to simply play within the game. And since he has physically deteriorated he doesn't have the arm to force throws anymore.
