I hope DG learned something tonight

After the Broncos lost the Super Bowl in embarrassing fashion two years ago, Elway went out and immediately made upgrades. Demarcus Ware and Emmanual Sanders were probably the 2nd and 3rd best players on the Broncos tonight. There's a saying that goes "if you aren't getting better in this league, you are getting worse." It was clear tonight how much better this Broncos team was than they were two years ago. Tougher and more athletic on both sides of the ball.

I give DG a pass for having little cap space to work with, but it should be clear as day that this dumpster diving strategy isn't going to win when it matters. The two positions he refused to address - tackle and wide receivers- were the obvious weaknesses that just costed us a Lombardi. 

You now have plenty of cap space and draft picks to work with Dave, time to get better and get this team over the hump

I wouldn't say they got better on both sides of the ball...they got worse offensively.

I have no doubt we can and will make roster changes. It's an OC change that needs to happen as well to get us over the hump.

There's nothing to "learn".

Every team in the league has strengths and weaknesses, including the Broncos.  If you think anybody out there has a roster full of all pros, you have no idea what you're talking about.

They built and coached a team that got through the season and the playoffs with only a single loss but came up short in the Super Bowl.  That's a successful season.

Next year, they'll continue building same as they've done before, and the future on that front looks very bright.

I think the point trying to make is a hundred million dollar QB with questionable pieces around him and he his starting his 6th year.

as for Shula, he is here to stay

probably would be better for Newton if a true OC would be brought in...I have always felt that but when the team makes the Super Bowl, coordinators aren't going to be changed

DG needs to sign some offensive guys whose hands dont turn to stone under the bright lights.  If we had a couple more of those we probably win tonight.

We should just let Cam be OC/QB since according to many on this board every good play is a call/audible by Cam and every bad play a call by Shula. So get rid of Shula and we'll have nothing but good plays left!

The Broncos had the money to get those upgrades. Dave hasn't to this point.

He has certainly been a guy not afraid to make controversial 'splash' moves, so you have to wonder if they look to change it up coaching wise or if another tough round of cuts to favorites (Tolbert comes to mind) is ahead.
