This.  He acts like a dick head on Twitter. If someone asks him a question, he responds in an arrogant way the majority of the time.

Jonathan Jones does too. Person and Newton who are the most disliked Panthers beat writers are the ones who are by far the most respectful to fans on twitter, particularly Newton.

That's true. David Newton gets dogged out by pretty much everyone and he's still a nice guy.

As I said the other day. You can tell who truly knows what they are talking about as it relates to Newton and the Panthers. All this talk abut Newton "changed" was 100% wrong. He didn't change a damn thing. And that is why he and everyone that is close to him got mad when the media started this nonsense about how Newton was "different."

Again, Newton has NEVER accepted losing. NEVER once. He will NEVER accept losing either. He just STOPPED losing over the course of the last 3 years. That is why Newton "changed."

As Newton said yesterday. He IS a sore loser. Always has been. The difference is this year, the Panthers weren't losing.

And to a great extent it what drives him now. He doesn't like to lose and he doesn't like the feeling or how he feels after he loses--therefore he simply stopped losing altogether.

It is a great trait to have. To hate losing so much that you do everything (in the offseason and in season) to prevent losing.

The only problem with this is that there a another young QB in TB that this also applies to. Winston is not about that losing life either. I believe like Newton he is going to do everything to prevent that feeling.

I like Bill and respect the hell out of what he has done with BBR. I think he really provides a solid alternative media source. I don't agree with him on this, but I understand why seems to be upset over it. He is an independent, like me, who didn't have a company budget to send him out there. We paid our own way. Interviews after the game are very important to him. I would feel the same way if I paid to go out there and then was told I could not take pictures.

Oh, and make no mistake about it. If Newton didn't like losing so much he wouldn't be an NFL MVP.

You know who he would be: Jay Cutler. Matt Stafford. Ryan Tannehill.

Again, if the worst about Newton we can say is that he really high when he wins but is a bad loser with a bad attitude when he loses, then we have a damn good QB both on and off the field.

    • lol wut?  Stats dont matter now?  Got it
    • So.... you're admitting he's never going to be the type of QB who can drag his team to victories on a consistent basis? Because in today's NFL, the teams that are constant contenders have QB's who can put up those kind of games will their team to wins when needed. If Bryce was anything near as amazing last year as the Bryce defenders try to insinuate he was, we'd either have won more games or his stats would have been better, if not both. Yes, he showed significant improvement over the last 2 months of the season.  Yes, he had a few clutch  moments/throws/drives in that span too. BUT... It's also very much a true statement that on the whole, he was still AT BEST an average QB during that time period.   And for a QB who was touted as being a PG who can get wins without elite talent around him because of how he sees the game, that's just not good enough, sorry. And none of that is to say he can't do that this year, especially after we gave him a weapon like T-Mac and hopefully an improved XL and Coker.  But stop trying to say he was this amazing QB to end the year who has proven he can (and should) be considered a long term solution as a franchise QB, as it's just not true.
    • In what way is that remotely the same thing as I'm saying here? First things first, comparing QB's to any other position is just asinine to begin with.   Second, you're trying to imply the exact opposite of what I'm saying here, so it just doesn't make sense. I'm saying if you remove the players that teams haven't committed to as their long term QB solutions yet, Bryce is the last player ranked in this set of rankings, that's all.  But sure, go ahead and try to make some weird convoluted equivalent for my love of T-Mac (who btw, you'd probably only need to take away 12-15 WRs for me to rank T-Mac #1 in a dynasty format, just sayin, lol)
