A pure speed rb... Stewart is a phenomenal between the tackles running back. Besides improving the oline the only way to make this rushing attack more dynamic is adding Lamar miller... The guy can flat out fly and was totally misused in Miami. Id love to see more screens out of the backfield, and seeing the defense have to account for shear speed at the rb positing in an already near unstoppable read option game.

If we get our OL shored up, it won't matter all that much who the RB is as long as they can hold onto the damn ball.

Speed backs are great in college, but they are overrated in the pros. While 20+ yard big plays capture the eyes of the audience and are remembered they only make up about 2% of all running plays in the NFL (I believe it is 6% in college).

When it comes to the RB position in the NFL I want a shifty big back who can average 5 yards per carry and break tackles. If you need speed to get around the edges, then use a receiver with punt return skills.

I think we have the same starting OL that we had last year except for Williams at RT instead of Remmers. Remmers is resigned as a do it all backup, we draft a guard in mid rounds of the draft.

Speed back? Sure, as long as he can beat the crap out of a D-line for 20 carries a game. If he can also outrun LBs for a 20 + yard run or a DB for a 40-50 yard TD, that's just icing on the cake.

Lamar Miller isn't just a specialty speed back... He also averaged 4.5 yards per carry, and had 8 tds (2 more than Stewart in the regular season)

We do need a speed back. If this was 2008 Stewart could be a full-time starter but he doesn't break away like he used to. We need a back who can take it to the house that defenses will respect.
