I'm always interested in finding out who we are actually interested in signing. Gettleman and his staff do such thorough work on players that we, as fans, can never predict who we're interested in.

We say sign Eric Weddle at safety and he brings in Husain Abdullah from KC.

I was thinking Branch from KC at Safety might be a good look, if he doesnt resign there of course.

I'm a little concerned about Williams in that despite only seeing spot duty, he's already been injured a time or two.

Might be nothing, but it in the back of my mind I wonder just a little how he'll react to full-time duty.

Only way to see it is putting him in and starting.

He was so good at OU though, they damn sure needed him vs Clemson this year.  Ha.

I actually agree, completely, but Andre Smith at the right price would be a solid piece to add.

But, I think he'll be too expensive in someway.

My thinking is that since Williams will be solid,  we use the cap space to make our weaknesses a strength.

All for it, keeping Remmers as a backup isn't out of the question for sure.  And concentrating at DE, CB, and safety would be fantastic, oh and backup DT with Dwan more then likely retiring.

Worst case,  remmers gets put back in there who was a piece of a #1 offense.

A lot of talent and bargains out there this year that can give the Panthers a boost.

I like Coples and Fairley as affordable depth that can pay dividends. Ayers and Hayes would be great for the pass rush at an affordable price.

Leon Hall would be a solid addition too.

Literally injured the very first professional snap that he took - that's either a fluke or very telling, depending on how one feels like looking about it. Could be worse though, like Fowler down in Jacksonville blowing his knee out the very first day of rookie minicamp

It was a freak accident.  A guy fell on the back of his knee during a FG attempt.
