Bottom two are only listed because I had to put five.  I'm not sure how much I'll love the Lakers once Kobe is gone and the Pistons have been garbage for the better part of the last 10 years.  Love me some NBA but I just can't get into it like I can college sports or Panthers football.

Dodgers sucked when I was there, just went to a lot of games for free. And the same with SC, except they didn't stink. 

 

I'm born and raised in NC. I don't know if you from NC not but here it's either Unc or Duke. That's it. Nobody else matters, unless you old or went there.

The rooting for schools that you never attended or rooting for a separate school in football and basketball only happens in North Carolina from what I have learned. I have never seen it anywhere else I have been or from people I speak to.

i know a few people who grew up in Ohio who grew up Ohio State fans and went to Penn State. They now hate Ohio state. One of my clients grew up a huge Sooners fan and went to OK State. He doesn't follow Sooners football at all. It is one thing in sports I will never understand.

Some people just can't handle rooting for both sports programs from a school because the majority of schools are only good at one or the other.

Well here college football really don't matter. It's panthers and Carolina or Duke. Everything else is 3rd tier.

I think it's hilarious, this dude says they root for schools they never attended, and says he's literally never been anywhere where it's like that but here.  LOLZ, try South Carolina.  Half of Gamecock fans have ZERO affiliation with the school.  This one guy I know roots for Florida State because he lived in Florida, but has zero affiliation with the school.  It happens everywhere, this female I know roots for Syracuse, lives in Charlotte, was raised in New York.  ZERO to do with Syracuse.  Maybe you need to meet more people NJ Panthers.  Dude, it happens everywhere, to think it only happens in NC is dumb.  It's the whole bandwagon logic, it's a dumb logic to begin with.
