I don't think sexual orientation is illegal to ask.

Any questions that reveal your age, race, national origin, gender, religion, marital status and sexual orientation are off-limits.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if the Falcants had to forfeit yet another draft pick for doing sketchy stuff

This is especially rich considering Atlanta is the gay capitol of the south. I don't mean that as a joke or insult whatsoever, it's a simple fact. In fact The Advocate magazine named Atlanta the gayest city in America in 2010. You can read about that on atlanta.net

edit: oh I see that by 'that's how it is down here' he meant that it was gay down there. Not anti-gay. That doesn't make it especially rich, as previous stated.

He should have said "yes",  then told the coach how attractive he is and asked him for coffee after the interview has finished - purely to screw with them and play along with the "joke" question the player thought coach was asking. Im sure the coaches reaction would have been priceless!

That said, I'm not surprised someone has asked this question. They've been told not to, but it's hardly surprising to see some team ask it...

I think that depends on what state one is in.

Federal law does not explicitly prohibit workplace discrimination on the basis of one's actual or perceived sexual orientation or identity. Some states have designated lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) individuals as a protected class entitled to legal recourse when they experience workplace bias. Even in states that have not introduced legislation of this kind those experiencing discrimination or harassment may still be other legal remedies available to them.

Of course, the NFL is very public relations aware these days, so its likely they will reprimand the coach, but it may or may not be illegal.

I am for whatever penalizes the Falcants, and this could. I hope the fine state of Indiana has these laws on the books, and the NFL proceeds to throw that book at the Falcants. Thank you for your time. remember to vote early and, more importantly, often.

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
