Oh hey, another lets bash Cam article

An article from someone I don't easily realize. This guy tore into Newton after the Super Bowl. Now he's doing a remix because Newton's coach dare stood up for him. The notion that everyone should react the same to life's circumstances is bothersome. I don't have Twitter otherwise I would have given this goat some solid invective.

Oh by the way the writer is black so please no racism in this thread (you know who you are).

Writer probably wrote it because he's black.

Writers are going to continue to try, and get their petty clicks no matter what.

This team knows how to use crap like this as motivation. Overall, I think in the long run all this idiocy about press conferences will only make Newton want a Lombardi Trophy that much more. As if he didn't want it enough already.

Kelvin Benjamin is coming back too? These guys are going to be fired up come July.

Meh. Who cares?

When you are good and on a good team, this is what happens. There's only room for one or two good guy QBs in the NFL at a time, and right now they are in Green Bay and New Orleans. If you write about any of the other top tier QBs it either has to be casting them as villains (Tom Brady) or picking out their flaws (Newton, Eli). If you can't do one of those things to a player, then they just fade away into the background until the season starts up again.

Didnt read the article, but i'll tell you what, I love this team and catch every bit of news I can on them. I rocord all the games and rewatch every one a few times. But that game, I turned off the TV immediately, I couldnt stand to watch any of the Interviews from either team and I still havent rewatched it yet. Even as a fan it was too painfull after such an epic ride. I can't imagine how the guys on the offense feel. Everyone of them likely feels they let the defense down.

Complaining about an article then posting a link(validating the article) is the stupidest thing.

No it's not. It's called referencing your posts. I'm not going to lift someone's work without properly sourcing it even I'm about to disagree with their opinion.

Besides people might read the article and come out with a diff opinion.

    • I encourage you to go back and watch his college play. Notice how he immediately backpedals to 10 yards behind the LOS on almost every snap. You can't do that in the NFL. Your OTs have no chance of keeping those freak show edge rushers off of you. You can't create a pocket that deep. Bryce can chuck it when he has an airport runway in front of him to step up into. There's a reason why "ease of creating velocity" is such a talking point evaluating QBs. It's not how hard or how far you can throw the ball given a perfect situation. It's how hard and how far you can throw the ball in a typical NFL game situation and that's where a lot of my concerns with Bryce were going into the draft. There were way too many plays in his college tape that if you were watching that purely in terms of translating it to the NFL it just didn't work.
    • Yeah, like I said I get it. From a revenue perspective I'm not a good customer for them. They've probably intentionally tanked offline franchise mode to try to get people online. Again, not a terrible strategy from a pure business perspective. I can't really be mad at them for doing what's good for business but yeah, from my perspective it still sucks.
    • Ok let me be more specific. Smith was a stud before Newton got here do you not agree? Yes, LaFell improved under Cam but then had his best years after leaving the Panthers with Cam as the QB and going to NE. So he improved playing with someone else. Olsen was in Chicage the year before Cam arrived and statistically had the same numbers his first year with Cam.  Hope that's clearer for you.
