Matt Ryan says he's "just hitting his stride"

“I think I’m just hitting my stride,” Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan tells Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com. “I feel like I’m in the best shape of my life at 30. I feel like I’ve learned so much about myself, my body, my game from the last eight years. I feel like that experience is going to serve me well in my 30s. I feel like I’m throwing it better than I ever have, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been. My best ball is still in front of me.”

What the fug has he been doing the past eight years?

That's what old people say when they hit 30...

My favorite quote of the year is still from Lavonte David after he picked off Matt Ryan "I didn't move. I stood right there and he still threw it."

The saddest moment of my life is when the Falcons draft a new QB and we won't be exposed to Matt Ryan anymore.

Stem cell therapy on that neck, little T boost is making Ryan feel froggy.

Im sure Atlanta will come in as the favorites once again this year when our camp team has some unknowns and much more spotlight on Cam. People will once again question Carolina and give Atlanta another shot......

They all say that.
What else is he gonna say?

"Well,  I'm 30,  My best years are behind me,  I feel like complete poo now, compared to when I was in my 2nd or 3rd year.  I feel as if my career is going to go downhill from here".

Another post about the Falcons? Lol. The Huddle has been my home away from home, reason being its quality football talk here but this is the most I've ever seen us mentioned. I don't mind but it is weird to an extent.. Had I not watched any football this season I wouldn't know that I was on the 3x NFCS champion & current NFC Champ board with all this talk about my Falcons. Lol.

When I see or hear Matt Ryan I think of a tampon.

In the shape of a braided belt

Driving a Chevy Spark (for you SCP)

And starring in an afterschool special about how you should never answer the door when someone who looks like Arthur Blank is ringing your doorbell with a basket of candy and lube

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
