Hardy is dumb.  But I believe everything he's saying.  He's dumb for putting himself in the situation that led to this problem.  He's dumb for some of the things he says sometimes.  Admitting that he isn't faultless, that he did something wrong, makes it much more believable when he says he never hit her.  I don't think anything Hardy did was with the intent of hurting her.  I think he was trying to get a crazy female out of his house and that's it.  I don't believe for an instant he "threw her on a bed of guns" or into the bathtub or hit her or anything like that.  Do I wish he'd resign with us?  Absolutely.  He was a great Panther, never had any problems until this incident and was the second best player on our defense his last 2 or 3 years.  Do I think it will happen?  Not while JR is around.

Hardy is Dumb...real dumb...I cant rule one way or another on what happened b/c I was not there but I believe Hardy for some reason?

To me Hardy feels like that younger brother who keeps putting hisself in the wrong places but because he's your brother you love him know matter what. He needs you and you need him. Ron was like a father to him. I just wish someone would have been there to help him adjust to being 25 and a millionaire in those first few weeks.

Steve Smith can shut is mouth and focus on rehab. He is not the one to be talking about violence. Now I know we're talking about domestic violence but isn't he the one who fractured the skull of one of his teammates?

And the Charlotte district attorneys?  I guess they prosecuted the case because they just didn't like poor ol' Saint Gregory?

And Ms. Holder's mysterious 'disappearance'?  I guess she just had a guilty conscience right?  And wasn't paid off to disappear?

Some of you guys and your hero worship is really really sad.

They do a great, sometimes impossible job while making less than police officers.  But it's a job.  Eventually most of them will turn heel for the dark side of defense for more $$$.

Again Hardy served 21 games for a "crime" that even if guilty would have gotten him one or two before the Rice video.

Along with the police testimony at the scene immediately after the incident?  And the photographic evidene (sic)?

None of that was enough for the prosecutors to even spend time having a jury hear it, let alone prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he committed any crime. And her word wouldn't have added anything. It was a lost case from the beginning, and the photographic evidence suggested restraint rather than any intent to harm or evidence of assault. Hardy had bruises and scratches just as bad on him as well. If Hardy beat anybody, female or not, they wouldn't have minor scratches and bruises that could've come from a kindergartner's Indian sunburn...

It's their job to prosecute the case.

She was paid. It doesn't mean Hardy's guilty of anything.

How in the world is this hero worship? I don't give a rat's ass about Hardy. I would love to get his talent back on our team but that has absolutely nothing to do with this case. I'd feel the same way about this case even if he were a Saint or Falcon who constantly cheapshotted the crap out of Cam, ala Vontaze Burfict. This could be anybody else and I'd feel the same. I care about justice. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

Whoever advised Hardy to do this interview, or any interview for that matter, should be fired. Only thing Hardy needs to be saying is sorry, and explain what actions he's taking to right his wrong. Even if he didn't do it..but it's obvious he did something to her.

I think his advisers fired themselves. That dude gets dumber by the week. I can't believe people still try to defend that guy.

I could teach Hardy how to deal with the media in under a minute. No charge. If a member of the media asks you a question about your scandal you answer "no comment", and if they ask again you answer "no comment" again. NEVER talk about your scandal with ANYONE except your lawyer.

"Did you hit that woman?"

"Did she hit you with a shoe?"

"Did you speed on your motorcycle?"

DON'T answer you DUMB poo!

At present we don't NEED him but you never know.  Logically we'd go from the favorite to the greatest team of all time.

As for negative pub, Tom Brady's case may go to the SUPREME Court and UNC is playing tonight after decades of documented, unprecedented cheating at countless levels.  Greg Hardy's he said/she said is in the PAST.

There is a world of difference between deflating balls or fake classes and leaving visible bruises on a woman.  Had he done his time ala Vick, then maybe.  But there is almost no chance that Hardy plays in a Panther uniform again.

J.R will never allow Hardy to come back. J.R was terribly ashamed and embarrassed over the scandle to the point where he started blubbering on camera. So long as J.R lives Hardy will not be back. TD and many of the other Panther players would like to have Hardy back.

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
