Jared Allen signs one-day contract with Vikings

If you're thinking we should be insulted, don't. For as much as he loved our locker room, Allen was only with us for one season. His best years came with the Vikings.

I could see how the Chiefs might bear some ill will though.

In case anyone was wondering, we released Allen from the reserve/retired list yesterday to facilitate this.

Interesting choice.  i guess the Vikings do make sense. He did well there and they gave up a good amount to bring him there.

This shouldn't really come as a surprise to anyone. Jared had some good years there, he's a loyal guy.

Though, you could argue, not to the team that drafted him.

I think his relationship with KC is pretty sour. He was a shithead while he was there(DUI suspension and other drinking problems) and he basically forced the trade out of there.
