I'm sure he "likes" a lot of players. Some girls I "like" as in I don't dislike them but they are ugly so I wouldnt date

I'm sure Gettleman "likes" him, but wouldn't draft him. The visits he's had here in my estimation are just in case he goes to a division rival or we play the team he's on in the future. You want to know how soft the other players in the league are that you play.

Derrick might be a nice young man. Derrick Henry now, he is a trash running back.

Did you learn nothing yesterday?

One possibility, however, is banking on that probable third round compensatory pick for next season and trading the existing 2017 third round pick away along with this year's.

Probably would still have to sweeten the deal with our 4th or 5th rd pick to get top 10 today, but I like the idea . There is still a crap ton of talent out there. The Rams are sitting on 43 and 45 ; not quite top 10, but there will most likely be some players left that had first round grades.

This is why I don't like player names as part of screen names.  How can we take your criticism of D Henry seriously when you are such a CAP fanboy?

At least you are consistent.

3. If the Panthers cannot move up

If the Panthers are unable to move up and must pick at 30, I like...

- Su'a Cravens - SS - Would immediately compete for playing time with the departure of Roman Harper. Some project as a small outside LB, the Panthers could treat him like they did Thomas Davis initially and put him at strong safety.

- Von Bell - FS - The Panthers really don't need another FS, but they like Bell enough to take him anyways.

- Devontae Booker - RB - Good mix of size and ability. A well rounded running back that could take a roster spot from Whitaker, Artis-Payne, and/or Wegher.

Thanks, as always for the info.  I have no idea why more people aren't paying more attention to the site that has correctly called last year's 1 and 2 and this years 1 at pick 30.  Really impressive.

That being said, do you realistically include Von Bell as those available at #62?  That would be a huge fall for him and wonder why that would be?  Unless teams are just tired of taking Buckeyes?

Also, any other names to throw out that would have our interest if we stay put at #62?

    • Yes, he's a tier above them, but you also touched on the money side of it.  With T-Mac locked in as our #1 on a rookie contract for a few more years, I'd much rather use that money that would be needed for DJ on our defense and develop Coker into our #2.   Especially given his contract situation as an UDFA, as his contract is up at the end of this year but we can keep him around for a 3rd team controlled year on the real cheap.  Which means we probably could get him to sign a very reasonable extension this offseason to give him a little more money while giving us a bargain contract for what he provides. DJ's contract is north of $20 million for the next 5 years, why pay that for your #2 WR with the needs we have on defense and you have guys like Coker, XL, and Horn on rookie contracts who very well could combine to be a serviceable 2-4 WRs behind a stud in T-mac? I love DJ and he'd be a great fit on this team as our #2, but the money side of it just makes absolutely zero sense, that's all it comes down to for me on this one. And no, I don't see the Bears wanting XL back in that trade, because they drafted Burden, who is essentially a better version of what XL provides, a player you want to get the ball into their hands and let them go to work.
    • I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams.  That I believe was the taylor swift effect.   But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game.  You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.
    • I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons.  I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument.  It's just a reality.
