Seriously, the only move I ever questioned by Getts was carrying Bell into the season as the starting LT. Haha, we still won the division.

I freaked about Oher be "the guy" and he is poised to be a pro bowler this year. I hated the Benji and Shaq picks.....I'm an idiot! Just like the rest of you guys.

You are wrong OP. This was far from a sexy draft for sure. But blows, it did not.

We went into this draft as one of the strongest teams in the league. We could have been contenders for the coming season without ever drafting a single player. This draft did us no harm at all, and could net us some big returns because we bet on guys who would fit our team.

We're going to be fine and I believe DG knows more about what he's doing than any of us do.

Just be glad he didn't trade a ton of picks to move up and draft a qb number 1 or 2. Especially when just a few months ago I didn't even see them as being listed top 10

OP's post jumped the shark when he called butler a "third string DT" then he broke out a screenshot from NFL.com which i strongly doubt closely aligns with any team's draft board to prove his point

if you want to defend that then be my guest.  critical opinions of gettleman that don't resort to soapboxing like the first post in this topic or rants about how cam is going to leave us and sign with the cowboys because we didn't "surround him with weapons" tend to get taken a little more seriously

this is the most consistent run of success in the team's history.  people are going to defend gettleman's personnel moves, deal with it.

I normally don't criticize drafts and I sure as hell hope it turns out well despite the clear lack of planning and good strategy. Here are my problems:

-clearly drifted (admittedly so) from BPA

-why did we do that? because we needed CBs. If we needed CBs so badly that we likely reached 3 times and altered from our typical drafting method it's because JNo isn't here. IF that is the result of JNos absence, we should have kept him around for one year under tag and drafted his replacement.

on another note: Gettleman needs to improve his business practices with his employees. I'm getting tired of players leaving CLT feeling that the manner in which they were let go was lousy. I understand it's a business, I think the players understand that as well but you can still treat people in a caring way and that doesn't seem to be happening yearly.

Gettleman's done a helluva job making you doubters look like idiots for 3+ years and 4 NFL drafts now.  Nobody on this board has to do it.

Actually, Hurney still owns the best 3 yr window IMO.  2003-2005 > 2013-2015 slightly. 

People didn't question Hurney enough when he did dumb stuff either at first....people forget Hurney at one point had Gettlemen hype too.

Yeah 7-9 was a killer season. 

I like Gettleman, I think overall he's done a good job but my god Panther fans have lost their fuging minds when it comes to him.
