Panthers list Jeremy Cash as linebacker.

We will have best, fastest LB Rotation in the league. I kind of suspected this. This guy kind of reminds me of Shaq with a little more "Thomas Davis" in him.

I think it's a better fit for him.

This is why he went undrafted despite a stellar college career. He played a hybrid Box Safety, LB, Rover position at Duke, which no team runs in the NFL. He most closely translates to a LB (100 tackels a year) in NFL schemes, but he only weighs 200 lbs. I say you PS him, get him with an NFL nutritionist and in the weight room and he can turn in to an excellent WLB.

Might be his best position, but a site listing doesn't really mean anything. Brockel was always listed as a TE despite playing almost exclusively at FB, for instance.

I can't think of a single player ever listed as a lb that was put in at safety. Even when Thomas Davis played safety he was listed as such.

Cash is a LB.

I don't disagree, hence "Might be his best position."

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
