Told ya, it's nothe always what the player says. It's what the agent does and tells his client is best. Kk worth 16-17m a season easy

Am I missing something? McCoy's contract is 13m a year usually, I would think 12-15 mil a year for KK?

Sidenote - this thread is clickbaity with a speculative narrative created by Jeremy. We normally make fun of stuff like this...

It's Voth speculation that's being treated as fact by national sources  now.

This is in response to the low ball offer Gettleman tossed out. Very disrespectful to any player in contract talks when the GM wants to make it appear that they are not a key player to the team. You cannot push for loyalty to the team while not being loyal to the players. Not sure Gettleman will ever understand this. Same song and dance, but this will be much uglier following what Gettleman did to Norman. KK knows what to expect and will leverage it now. Either Gettleman wants him and pays him big (unlikely), or Gettleman will deem him a distraction that does not want to be on the team (expected).

Gettleman becomes the team distraction. (probably has piles of money stacked up on his desk that he refuses to spend so he can admire it every day).

KK gets a trade and sign deal. Bye KK. Get paid.

It's business. The Gettleman culture.

Wow, Kawann outed himself as a selfish, money-grubbing prick. Does he want more money or does he want a ring? DG should work with him for about 3 weeks and then cut him if he misses one training camp practice!

you are TRIPPIN! So he should play less money than he is worth? Each time he steps on the field he risks injury and I personally dont think he is a PRICK for wanting an insurance policy. Unbelievable bro

Low ball offer, for KK?  How much was it?

Short has been in the facilities and participating in other non contact activities. This is purely speculation at this point.

If he skips minicamp, then I think it would be a huge mistake on his part.

Gettleman cited that he "wanted players who were all in" and used that as a reason to rescind the tag on Norman.

Short is still under his rookie contract and has a lot less leverage than Norman did.

I doubt this becomes anything at all, however it continues to expose the fact that  Gettlman Hyperbole around here is way out of control. Somehow some members have brainwashed themselves into thinking Gettleman is perfect and already deserving of a statue. Making themselves appear more as G-man fans than panther fans when reading some post.

Do you ever proofread?  I mean, it has to sound as foolish to you, as it does everyone else, if you read over it before submitting.

    • That's a very incorrect statement right off the bat, coaches get fired for winning ugly all the time.  Every coach of a playoff team that then gets fired, got fired because they won ugly and didn't improve their players enough to win in the postseason. Guys like Andy Reid have been fired for "winning ugly" like you said, because they kept winning in spite of the improvement of their players. Also, "this is a fanbase starved for wins" is a statement I also don't agree with, I'm not "starved for wins", I'm "starved for a winning and contending franchise" which are two VERY different things. If the team and fans just want to win some games, then that's a loser mentality, sorry, but it is.  We should want to contend, not win a handful of games.  Every time this comes up I point back to the Lions the last 5 years or so.  They were losing games but improving every week while doing so a few years back.  THAT is how you improve as a franchise and move the needle towards contending, not winning games ugly.
    • Good lord. I don’t think I have ever seen a hole that open.
    • this is true.  But NFL Ss and defenses are actively taking that away and playing to take them away vs most teams.  The problem thus far in BY's career......is they are cheating and not respecting the deep game which makes the smaller/mid range game harder to pull off.  and Dallas is an anomaly game.  using those random games that run counter to vast work......doesn't really change the discussion/issues in Carolina.  Bryce Young took the shots this week because they were not just NFL open but college open.    Wide open dudes downfield that really were coverage busts/issues.
