What would KK Short fetch in a trade?

Let's suspect DG really likes his new toy from the draft. Lets also suspect KK wants more than the number we have on the table (15m/year is rumored number)..

What would KK fetch on the open trade market as a trade and sign?

Would 2 first round picks be likely? If so.. do we say goodbye to KK?

I appreciate the thread for conversation, but please KK sign a deal...this is going to be a long offseason if you don't.

Idk man. I think we're good at DT. Sure, we're much better with him.. but I think depending on how our draft pick plays, we see hem dealt before the deadline.

DT is DG's bread and butter draft position.. i think he's replaceable

While I agree that we need to sign KK, I cant help but think this same thing. I think now after the Cox deal there is a not insignificant chance that KK doesnt come back next year. With that in mind, would DG try and trade him? Especially during the season? I dont think so. I think if KK isnt re-signed then he's just gonna walk, just like everyone else.

A high first and a 3rd.

NO way do I entertain not getting another stud young player at a premium position for KK right now.  We're trying to win it all THIS year.  The names are few, but there are some.  Ezekiel Ansah, Tyron Smith, Tyler Eifert are a few that I'd consider that are just within the realm of realism to post, even if it took an additional pick or player from either side to massage out.

    • There are no juggernauts this year. Feels like everyone in the playoffs field is gonna have a puncher's chance. All the best teams still have very obvious flaws.
    • It does vary, and depends on their health and other factors. I mean you really can’t look at the schedule in August and know what you will be facing mid season or even early Any time because stuff happens. It is any given Sunday relative to that. Early this year, KC was beatable. Will they be in December? And we don’t know if they’ll be motivated, or out of it. One team, that is likely a different team in 10 weeks. That’s an example what I mean.  Far as “decent” we know who the good teams are. We could hit a good team on a bad day, and we could have a really good one. It happens. All I’m saying. And I don’t expect it not to, for random teams. That’s about it. Predicting wins is an imperfect pastime.
    • To the folks the last couple years who were boosting up Josh Allen and shitting on Cam Newton. This one goes out to you.
