I've seen this name a couple of times but, who the fug is Eric Crume? Ive never seen him mentioned in tc practice tweets and never seen him make a play on the field.

He had a sack and forced fumble against Baltimore and a couple nice plays against Tennessee.  He is quietly having a nice preseason so far.

Yea i was watching him a bit.  Diddnt have any push.

Johnson was done last season. We were better with him off the field. When we cut him, than brought him back I thought it was as a backup role, I thought wrong.

That TD Mariota threw was on him falling for the fake and not setting the edge.

I'm sure Sean McDermott loves dialing up safety blitzes.

They'd better get somebody in here that has actually done something in the NFL.

DE is like QB. If you're any good everybody knows because the market for premium players in that position is very small because great ones don't come around that often.

You're not scaring anybody with DeLaire or Horton and if your safety doesn't get there you're burned if it's Tom Brady or Drew Brees.

Crume had a strip sack against Baltimore last week. I think he is one of those guys that will make it to the last round but ultimately not make the 53. Could be back as a PS player though depending on other moves.

    • this is true.  But NFL Ss and defenses are actively taking that away and playing to take them away vs most teams.  The problem thus far in BY's career......is they are cheating and not respecting the deep game which makes the smaller/mid range game harder to pull off.  and Dallas is an anomaly game.  using those random games as well, look at this......doesn't really change the discussion/issues in Carolina.  Bryce Young took the shots this week because they were not just NFL open but college open.    Wide open dudes downfield that really were coverage busts/issues.
    • I will simply counter all that with: you should always strive, at every turn, to avoid indoctrinating young players into a culture of not playing to win the game.  Come man, that is an egghead academic approach that ignores the human element. it looks good on paper. Maybe.  In the voice of the great  Herm Edwards: Hello! You play to win the game.  I completely understand the need but that is not the way….
    • I wouldn't mind a te room of LaPorta,  Musgrave and b strange
