I admit it..I just switched to the Panthers!

I'm a life long Dolphins fan who has suffered through 30+ years of mediocrity, frustration, anger, shattered hope, and low expectations. I never imagined that I would switch my team. I'd stuck with them this long, right?

But after the antics of Arian Foster and Kenny 'Take Knee, Drop Easy TD Passes' Stills and the other jerks, I was on the fence. But a week ago, I was wearing my Dolphins hat, and I encountered an old man wearing a WWII Veterans hat, and he glared at me. That started to push me off the fence, but what sealed the deal was when I got home, I read that Miami's owner, Stephen 'I Have No Idea What I'm Doing' Ross came out in support of what the players did.

As far as I'm concerned, this isn't about free speech. The players are there to play football. Its their job. If you, me, or anyone else got in their customer's faces and went on a political rant, we'd lose our job, and rightfully so. Maybe they should concentrate on playing football, rather than causing distractions for a bottom feeding team. In the Seattle game, Stills dropped a TD pass that was put right in his hands. He was wide open, and there was nobody near him for 15 yards. He catches it, Miami beats Seattle. Yesterday, during their attempt at a comeback, he dropped another wide open TD pass. That would have tied the game. I didn't watch that game. I was too busy watching Carolina.

So, why Carolina? I lived in Charlotte for several years, Fayetteville for 2 years, and SC for about 6 years. I was in Charlotte when the Panthers went to their first Super Bowl, and I adopted them as my #2 team. Each year, I'd watch more and more of their games, and I'd root for them over anybody unless it was Miami. I've been to more of their games than any other team other than Miami...although in 2009, they played Miami. I was there for that one, but I've seen them play the Falcons twice, once in Charlotte, once in Atlanta. Also saw them play the Giants and Saints. Every game that I saw them play live, they won...except for 2009.

So, I have history with them. Over the past few years, it seemed more like I had 2 teams. An AFC and an NFC team. But, now that I've made the switch, its permanent. I won't be doing it again, even if Carolina goes through a bad slump..I watched every game in 2007 when the Phins went 1-15. I was disappointed in Miami for allowing this crappy behavior, now I could care less. Screw them, and Go Panthers! Glad to be here.

I dont mind new fans such as kids, or fans who are new to the game...

but this is the kind of fan that pisses me off. A lot of us have suffered through shitty times as panther fans and we are finally seeing what we all wanted to see. Now this guy and a bunch of other fans are hopping ship, taking the easy way out, dude fug that poo

dude, you are the definition of a banwagoner. I have no respect for you as it pertains to football or fan hood. I bet you hop off the banwagon the second the trend points down.

I can see your point and agree to some extent. I've always been loyal to my team not matter what. But at least he used to live in the Carolinas. It's not as bad as the POS in Charlotte that became Seahawks fans a few years back. I'll cut this guy some slack.

Welcome.

    • AT got what he deserved. Be gone and enjoy those 4 catches and the bench and your pay cut
    • we have been bad offensively basically every game Rico Dowdle hasn't gone full Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson on folks.
    • Strongly disagree with the premise here. Without getting too into it, the biggest gripe for many has always been his footwork and pocket presence.  Shallow drops, happy feet, bad awareness - his overall technique is highly unconventional and not beneficial to his size/frame.  His upper body gets mad out of sync with his lower, drops back parallel to the LOS, erratic behavior. When you take that to the NFL level, you get swallowed up. And he got shellshocked and started bailing way too soon on plays. Unnecessary throwaways when he should step UP into the pocket and hit.   He got away with it in school because sooo much of his work was out of structure or quick hits to Jamo.  He was able to not bail early and stick in the pocket this last game. He also was dropping deeper than he usually does to create sight lanes. He can’t really outrun DLs so he needs to create that space via drop to survey properly. When he does these bs skip hops in the gun, he barely drops and is flooded. He needs to stay active with his feet but learn to step into the pocket more.  His average arm when he’s not doing this right turns Pennington esque.
