Coaching or Execution?

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

Coaching, easily.

The plays that are called are not fitting to the circumstances at hand. Even executed properly it isn't the right plays to be called and players would be struggling to execute properly.

Sure a 20 yard route call taking forever to develop on 3rd and 4 in the beginning of 4th quarter, or reverse COULD play out but why are you putting that stress on the players? Why are you getting all fancy and making it harder than it needs to be?

Players shouldnt be be trying to force something to fit or work, call a play they can easily execute and  it being more of a matter of playing good football. Simple as that, especially when we are already struggling.

Coaching has effected the execution. Coaches put us in the position we were to Denver and Minnesota, they made us play from behind and then the players pressed and made mistakes, ie Cams interceptions. We had Minnesota on their heels early and with the right coaching calls could have put them away. Players do need to be more disciplined though. Talking to Benjamin with his penalty that cost us 7. Both sides responsible but coaches more so.

    • Nobody on the huddle is saying we have an elite group offensively across the board. They aren't great. They're young. If you are expecting someone to agree with your position of blaming everyone around Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career you are going to be left holding the bag save for a handful of people who act like they are paid to defend his honor. Bryce Young is not a guy who has had to claw and fight his way into starting jobs in football. He's had the best to work with and been gifted roles since he was a teenager. The Panthers have one of the youngest rosters in the league and with us needing an infusion of young defensive talent in the upcoming draft we're only going to get younger. We need a QB who possesses the ability to elevate those around him. If you can't agree with me on that then there's nothing further to discuss.
    • All Bryce and the Panthers had to do was split with the Saints and a rookie QB. The bar was so low. They even had a whole bye week to prepare. The time for singing kumbaya was before that game. Anyone still talking about Bryce earning a second contract 43 games into his career is living a fantasy. He might get one from the Tepper owned Panthers but he's damn sure not earned it.
