Rivera: We've been in this situation before

- 4 games doesnt make a season

- 1 game at a time

- give the other team credit they did some good things

- we can't start like we did

Considering most of the talk here has been about Cam "deserving" a concussion and not Julio Jones having 300 receiving yards...he's right.

And I'm pretty sure the huddles collective mindset has been concussed.

Good job creating your own narrative so that you have something to get offended by...

Yes, dude.  The majority of the huddle is totally saying Cam deserved a concusion.

Why do you only post when bad things happen. I don't even remember you being around last year

Post-win discussions aren't really that interesting around here.  After a win, I usually just watch some replays and check out other games.  Post-loss discussion can be amusing sometimes.

Rivera's only hope is to win the next 4 games.

The needs for this team to be a winner are glaring. It is apparent they have not been addressed.

It is one thing to have a poor season because the core of the team was aging out of the NFL like the 1996 team going into 1997 or the 2008 team going into 2009 following a run since 2003. It is completely different to have a 2013 team that was easy to build on and thrown away for the 2014 season, or the 2015 team that was discarded for the 2016 youth movement. This team had several key pieces in place that were discarded for the future of the team.

Isn't this every other year success exactly what the Panthers wanted to get away from? If they are satisfied without back to back winning seasons, then they should have just stuck with what they had in place. This Gettleman/Rivera era was placed on the expectation of consistent winning seasons. Anything less is a failure.

Unfortunately, it will take the Panthers a few more seasons of this same pattern to make a move. This team could have easily been better in 2014, 2015 and 2016, but allowing the front office to ride the coattails of the previous administrations success has set the team up for years of failure with a core of talent that any other team would love to build around.

Anything a team does in its current era means nothing without that first SB championship. Pay for it and then try to build the team out for a dynasty the next 2 to 3 years following that trophy.

The Panthers front office has put a dynasty of mediocre to good division champions ahead of being a SB champion.

I wonder if that should be an indictment on his low IQ ass...

"We've been here before" I'd respond with "Yea and that's the fugin problem fool" I mean really...

Goodness he's not all there up top...how about try to NOT be in this position Ron...

I don't really mind losing, or even getting your butt handed to you when you deserve it, which we did.

The better team always wins, and I'll still be a fan 16-0 or 0-16. What pi$$es me off is lack of preparation and/or going through the motions. No excuse for that.

I hate these arrogant press conferences too. We are a bad team so far. Call a spade a spade. Don give me "we've been here before" gtfou

The score is misleading. This was a complete beat down. No one on this team looked like they were trying until the 4th quarter

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
