Why do you think Patriots went 2 TE set this year after getting beat by the Broncos in the playoffs. To stop the edge rushers like Miller & Ware. Staying ahead of the game as always Bill.  Should have drafted Hunter Henry

"Limited upside as a run-blocker. Does much better on the move than head-up with defensive ends."

"
WEAKNESSES: Lacks ideal bulk and muscle tone for the position and is still growing into his body. Struggles to establish body position as a blocker and ends up going where the defender wants. Too easily overmatched at the point of attack, struggling to sustain or control blocks.

Grabby and wild in pass protection and has too many snaps on his film that will be penalized in the NFL. Only nine career touchdowns, wasn't used as consistent red-zone threat.

IN OUR VIEW: Henry was an ideal fit for the Razorbacks' multiple-tight end offense with pro-style looks that asked him to line up inline, wing and in the slot. Henry has reliable hands (didn't have a drop in 2015) with fluid body adjustments to catch the ball in stride and track the ball into his mitts. He is a competitive blocker, but too easily overpowered at the point of attack, leading to him getting beat or penalized.

Although he's not a reliable inline blocker at this point in his development, Henry has the best hands and route running athleticism of any tight end in this draft class, projecting as a Day Two "F" or joker tight end prospect"

Edge defender could mean a lot of things including how he holds up against the run, so I'm not sure how to interpret this but at this point it sounds like Oher won't be cleared in time for Sunday and is possibly even mulling retirement based on recent tweets.

Edge defender is what PFF uses to group all 4-3 DE's and 3-4 OLB's(basically pass rushers) together with and yes the overall grade, which this is, does include their run defense.

So um about that ranking..

Didn't even know he was on the field today. Great stuff from the line today to allow only 1 sack, but also Cam was stepping up in the pocket very well. Cardinals pass rush killed the Hawks on Monday so was good to see us neutralize it. Granted, the Hawks line is truly horrible.

    • We have seen Bryce get outplayed by all manner of QBs, from UDFAs to second round picks.  If we actually scouted any QBs it would not be a difficult task to upgrade from Bryce, you guys act like he is even decent. He is one of the worst starters league wide stop making excuses.
    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
