Don't look now but 12 sacks in the last two games have boosted us up to 24 sacks this year. Good for 3rd behind Denver's 28 and Buffalo's 26.

Damn I'm genuinely surprised to read that. If the D can keep up their recent stellar play, they may just be able to turn this thing around and make some noise in January...lord knows we have seen this team go on huge winning streaks in the past, with arguably less talent.

In my "Bye Bye Huddle (for three weeks)" thread I made mention of the streak the Panthers were about to go on. Not based on intuition or blind fandom but the reality that a Shula/Rivera/McDermott combination seem to finally get on the same page around midway through a season and really take off in the last 6-8 games. The pass rush has come back, the offense is struggling because receivers can't get open and Cam isn't scrambling near as much, and we are playing typical complimentary football again. 

Here's to hoping the Falcan'ts fall off at some point because we have the ability to take hold of this division in the next 4 weeks.

this is crazy good, but I'm still pessimistic that we can overcome the hurdle that started this season, defense is clearly playing much better though

Seems like Rivera and McD are letting the Defense play now. In the first couple of games, they were playing to protect the young corners. Nice to just let those young guys play and have the front 7 go after the QB.

Ha I guess I picked the wrong one. Yeah that's true. I think not having Kalil really hurt us playing against Donald. And the improvement of the D-line coupled with having Worley and Bradberry healthy, as well as the emergence of Johnson, has been key for the defense's improvement.
