Honest Question

Before yesterday, had there ever been a healthy but inactive first round rookie for the Panthers?

I can't think of one. The last two years first round picks barley see the field when healthy. Why? We know Shaq can play well. Vernon has shown flashes, why not give him more chances?

Could placing Butler on the inactive list be a shot at Gettleman by Rivera. Pointing out to him that he did not need a DT as much as, say, another TE like Hunter Henry?

Don't think Ron works that way, never know - maybe the kid was late to a meeting or something?

I'll ask another question .. If Greg caught that pass on 4th down did you honestly have faith in Gano to make the FG?

No but I'd have a little bit of faith in Cam getting a TD after that. Still a lot of time when that happened. And it was 3rd down, the sack was on 4th.

I don't think so. Rivera is so locked into his veteran starters that he wouldn't pull Dickson in favor of Henry even if he had drafted him.

Honestly with all the other stuff from this season... having a huge cap surplus and not spending it, drafting 47 rookie CBs, moving Remmers to the left, Shula and RR doing the same poo over and over and hoping for different results... nothing surprises me.

Does anybody know WHY he was inactive?

If we had beat writers worth a damn they would ask the question instead of 500 questions about Luke's concussion

Oh god, I hope so.

I need Stoic Ron to take shots at and do whatever he possibly can to piss off his boss, Da Gahdfahda.

I NEEDZ IT.

    • We agree here dawg. I'd love for Bryce to succeed as would all huddlers. I have not seen a single huddler hate Bryce for anything other than his play on the field / potential / skillset. He hasn't gotten any of the irrational hate having nothing to do with football that Cam got. And yeah I understood going into this season with Bryce again as there weren't a ton of options, but man we missed the fuging mark on upgrading at backup QB with someone who could actually push Bryce. Bryce had zero pressure on him with a 100% washed up Dalton being the only other NFL caliber QB in the system. That absolutely needs to change this offseason. Ideally with an actual starter upgrade but that seems extremely unlikely due to not having many FA options and a bad draft. But at the very least with someone like you mentioned, young/upside and/or day 3 pick in the draft.   Another note, we have a top paid and top performing OL, great young talent at WR incl. likely OROY, great RB group, average all around TE group, offensive coach with creativity in the system and good play designs (poor situational playcalling but still I put out current offensive coaching staff over Shula who held Cam back for instance). Not the absolute best situation for a QB to be in, but still a very good situation around him. And yet we have a bottom 8 offense (6th lowest points scored). Imagine taking a victory lap for a QB leading his team to the 6th lowest points scored in the league and the 22nd highest passer rating (despite being asked to do less than many other QBs; i.e. Bo Nix who isn't great either and has a slightly lower passer rating but Sean Payton actually lets him try to throw the ball deep and has him throw significantly more than Bryce). Crazy
    • similar to Atlanta and the NHL.  Atlanta has lost two NHL teams (and lost a minor leaguer).  Now there's another coalition pulling together another proposal for Atlanta to get an NHL expansion. While I'd like hockey to be back in Atlanta 'cause hockey is fun, I am skeptical that it'll happen based on previous teams' experience here alternatively: similar to Atlanta hosting a Major Tennis Tournament in advance of the US Open every mid/late summer.  Aside from the fact that Atlanta is said to be the country's largest Tennis playing city (with both USTA and ALTA, along with a number of side leagues) - playing tennis outdoors in Atlanta summer is miserable *and* they had difficulty attracting players... ticket sales were not good. So the Atlanta Open closed after 14 years.  They just couldn't make it happen, even if for all intents it appears to be massive tennis interest in the surrounding area.
    • So I saw where Luke was doing that show parallel to the game. Whatever it was, statcast something something, knew it would be a good watch. I don’t get ESPN any more but that would be one of the about few things I would watch outside of games.     He doesn’t fool around on the radio broadcast.
