I don't want Chud because that is going backwards. Shula's offense is better than what Chud put out there and the facts prove it.  If we are going to replace Shula it needs to be a big upgrade. Otherwise why take a year or two to adjust and not have a better product?

Now who out there is a genius who can overcome mediocre receivers, a crappy line, tons of injuries and a running back who struggles to stay on the field and field a top 5 offense. Because with all those problems we are still 14th in points after some really  bad performances against teams like Minnesota and Seattle. And are they available and want to come here and have NFL experience....

I'd like Chud to return over Shula, my thing is who is out there that is available?

However considering what the offense did last year, and being middle of the pack this year, I don't see any scape goats, as the excuses are already in line.

Our same receivers got separation last year, to me it all comes back to not being able to protect Cam similar to 2014, the Byron Bell, Nate Chandler line. And even still we finished 7-8-1; but the defense was better that season as well by comparison.

I'd like to see more of Ginn, and Brown on the field at the same time, keep KB and Olsen outside, start Ginn, and Brown while Funchess rotates into the line-up. Then once inside the 20's we can go to the tree's all being on the field together.

We do too much (or at least it feels this way) base personnel where defenses are allowed to stay in their 4-3 or 3-4 and defend the run. I'd like to see more 3 and 4 wide. I'm not a fan of the empty because it feels like our backs are more concerned with a route than assisting the tackles vs premium rushers when they need to chip.

I'm also over Fozzy Whittaker, I'm sorry he doesn't move the needle for me, and I have no idea why he and Tolbert are viewed as the 2nd HB. Either CAP is terrible, or our staff is loyal to a fault to vets. It's one or the other.

Rivera has said numerous times we are looking for a scat back, and to me we had one, and cut him to keep Fozzy, his name was Jordan Todman. he looked better than everyone behind Stewart that pre-season. Even losing out on Wegher, personally I'd take Wegher, Todman, CAP or Stewart, Whittaker Tolbert. And I like J-Stew alot, but if I had to choose a trio I'd choose the former.

We have a very slow, and non-explosive backfield, we lost that when Williams was cut, I know a lot of fans soured on him, BUT he was a home run hitter at HB, he unfortunately got too comfortable. You see teams with worse OL still produce decent running when the back can bounce it, none of ours can do this, the one that possibly could has been inactive nearly every game for two seasons now.

As a head coach? Um, no.

I would be open to OC due to his familiarity though. People don't realize that when we do show Shula the door, there is going to be an inevitable adjustment period with a new OC, and after a season like this, fan patience is going to be very low. Limiting that adjustment period as much as possible should be priority.

But right now, playcalling changes won't make up for our WR's not getting open or flat out dropping passes. Need improvement all around.

The biggest issue with our offense right now besides the offensive line is that our "#1" wr is slow and can't get separation. Seem to be a lot better when we feature Ginn

No disagreement that our WR's need to step it up. But last year our offensive line was adequate often enough to give our receivers real opportunities. These long developing routes behind a swiss cheese OL only amplify the deficiencies of our receivers. We have to try to put them into more advantageous opportunities to succeed.

Yea no doubt the offensive line is the main issue. I know people want to turn Cam into captain check down, but check downs won't win games with this defense.
