Ah hellz, I'll bite. It all comes down to one thing. "Doing the right thing". You don't show people up, you don't berate the refs, and you don't embarrass your team.

Tonight is one of the first time anyone has ever seen Rivera lose it on the sidelines. Sure, he has gotten mad before, but tonight was different. You could see it in his eyes, and in his body language. He never points, or gets in a refs face. He is always, to a fault, almost polite when he protests a call. But not tonight.

This franchise prides itself on doing it the right way. And if you truly believe this franchise has not let the League Office know how they feel about how Cam is being treated. You may be under estimating your team. I mean, the Commissioner was aware there was a problem, because he took Cams call.

Hate Ron if you wish. Hate Gman, or even Shula. But don't for a second believe this team didn't do everything within their power to let the League Office know what was going on. No soap boxes, no interviews, no screaming from the rafters. But yeah, letting the folks that needed to know, know.

All missed calls are sent into the league for review. All of Cams uncalled head shots this season, and every season, have been sent into the league for review. This system of review has failed to stop refs from ignoring Cam's head shots. When you have a failed system, then you think outside of the box. You step over the line to make a difference. You rip the poo out of the refs on the field to protect a person's life. That's "doing the right thing". Absolutely show the refs up.

So...You did miss Rivera ripping the refs tonight. He was as animated as I have ever seen him.

Again. What you want out of Rivera, you are not going to get. He is not going to show the refs up. He will rip them a new one when he has to, but he will do it in a way that is respectful. He won't confront them, he will hang around. He won't get in their face, but he will chew their ear off.

We will let the League Office know we are not happy, but we will not be going through the media to do so.

Yeah, "Doing things the right way", and "Respect" have meaning throughout the Panther Org.. But Ron exemplifies those qualities. Expecting anything else is folly.

Rivera is Riverboat Ron, not Showboat Ron.

Do you acknowledge that the system has failed Cam? Why would you want to continue with this system and not have Ron go overboard with the refs? If you were taking head shots that could cause permanent brain damage would you want your coach to step over the line with the refs? How you answer these questions will tell me what I need to know about you.

Yelling at a ref my be out of the norm for Ron but to a NFL ref that is ho hum standard Sunday coach reaction.  They are immune to that.  Means nothing to them. My 2 year old had a meltdown this am because she didn't have pink socks....you think I blinked an eye?

As far as politely discussing with the NFL? That clearly hasn't done anything.

I agree there is a right way to attempt to handle problems.  But when that doesn't work? What then.  Because Carolina has handled it by the book and it clearly hasn't worked.  So you either take it up a notch or accept it.  I say they have an obligation to kick it up a notch.

Are you a legit racist who constantly bitches about racism?

I noticed in the "gameday" thread where you called another member "honkey".

To me, that is quite hypocritical, as well as being worth a permanent ban. It would definitely be a permanent ban if reversed.

Seems weak asf.

So let me get this straight.

Not only does the possibility of racism from white people affect your delicate sensibilities so strongly that you have to condemn someone for pointing out what has honestly become painfully obvious, but you want people banned for it?

Hey, sorry bud. If you want to live in your white world where nobody talks about racism, you're welcome to do that. But this isn't a safe space for you. We address sh*t here. If you don't like it, you can kindly kick rocks.

NFL so aggressively pursued an overbearing notion of sportsmanship they've egregiously empowered officials to ignore real on-field issues.

I just can't with that call. Officials are more worried about flagging taunting than actually officiating the game. Absolutely absurd.

— Aaron Nagler (@AaronNagler) December 20, 2016

The rest of the world expects the refs to start overcorrecting on hits to Cam's dome. Refs like: nah.

— Kevin Patra (@kpatra) December 20, 2016

Cam Newton should have been mad. That was an illegal hit

— Pete Prisco (@PriscoCBS) December 20, 2016

Cam gets hit in head. No penalty. Cam tosses football at dude. Penalty. Can't make this stuff up. Think no flag on hit like that on Brady?

— mike freeman (@mikefreemanNFL) December 20, 2016

Cam is the only QB in the league that doesn't get that call and he's one of the best. It makes no sense

— Nick Kostos (@TheKostos) December 20, 2016

Tom Brady gets that call. Eli Manning gets that call. Philip Rivers gets that call. Drew Brees gets that call. I'm just sayin'

— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) December 20, 2016

Throw a football in someone's direction: flag, 15 yards.

Throw your head at someone's head: no flag.

— Will Brinson (@WillBrinson) December 20, 2016

Can we skip to Cam Newton's postgame press conference now?

I'd be all for Ron doing some finger poking and chest bumping when he is laying into these refs. Get tossed. Get fined. Make a fuss. Get the media talking about it.

Also, instead of a worthless ball-flip, I'd like to see Cam just go at the aggressors smitty-style. Grab em by the face mask and put them on the ground.

Yeah I thought this. If you're gonna get flagged, make it worth it lol. But with our luck, Cam gets tossed. We don't get chances.

Discussing racism is a totally different thing, then calling someone a "honky".

You know nothing of my world. I would feel quite the same had you used a racial slur to describe any race.

If you don't like it, you can kindly fug off.
