You knew this was coming - A look at Norwell at Right Tackle

I have always maintained Norwell could be a legit right tackle. The kid has the long frame and nimble feet for it. He played both tackle and guard in college. 

Well, for the first time last night we saw it. He took two snaps at right tackle.One running, one passing. Here they are....

 

 

 

Nothing I see changed my mind. Would love to see more Norwell at RT.

Looked better than Turner. What Turner is doing isn't an easy transition, and I give him much props for being a team player and giving his all, but he should definitely be back at Guard next season because he's not a good RT. I would give Norwell a shot.

In both looks, he certainy passes the eye test. But it is just two plays. Still, I think his prior experience and his overall Sasquatchiness make it a good bet that he can handle the task.

And while we're on it, Remmers had a pretty good night. No tackle is going to win every match up, but the guy catches hell for even the slightest mistake. In truth, we've been lucky to have him be able to switch to LT and at least hold the fort through the last half of the season.

And this brings up the question again why do we find out how good players are at different positions after injuries provoke changes? Coaching evaluations ?

Norwell is such a boss.  One of those unbelievable UDFA's.  Very underrated.
