"Need of a consistent playmaker beside (Olsen, KB, & J-Stew) to give Cam an outlet during delayed blitz  or 3rd down whether its a RB (draft) or WR (Devin).  "

       - Hint towards ATL stratgey of using the RBs by pounding the defense early with power & zone and then stretching the defense out by motioning the back wide for a route

      - Fozzy use as reciever

1. Eager to evolve: At his end-of-season press conference Monday, head coach Ron Rivera was asked to expand on his desire to see the offense evolve in 2017 – something he discussed at length with Panthers.com last week.

Rivera spoke about finding different ways to use quarterback Cam Newton’s athleticism in the passing game while limiting his exposure to punishment as a ball carrier.

Newton has previously said running the ball is his “edge,” but Rivera doesn’t believe it will be a hard sell when it comes time to implement changes.

“No, not at all,” Rivera said. “I’ve talked with him and I’ve talked with some of the players on the team about the things we need to do going forward, and the one thing about Cam is Cam is always all-in.”

Shula, whose tenure in Carolina began as quarterbacks coach in 2011, has been the offensive coordinator for the Panthers since 2013. Last year, Carolina scored the most points in the NFL (31.3 per game). This year, the Panthers ranked 15th in scoring (23.1).

Glaring needs deciphered from Rivera's half-truths and dodged answers: a 2nd weapon at RB and SS

Keep Shula and expect 7-9 next season at best. This franchise doesn't know how to move on until coaches completely implode. 

 

Also how about some WRs that can get some separation and catch consistently?

Also, why did we draft CAP if the coaches think RB is still a need? CAP and Stew should be enough.

I thought Damiere Byrd showed he can be a playmaker yesterday. He had a good catch in traffic and seems like he can be (not saying he will be but could be) Smitty type. Not like Smitty but Smitty type.

I like the bit about running the ball like ATL. I lowkey like how they do it with the zone running. We just need a RB that can do that cuz I dont think it's stews game.

OC sucks but we need receivers that can catch and get separation.....

Let me see his  big plan is using fozzy as a receiver?  We have a few on the team that just ain't got it. Gano =loser  fozzy =not a playmaker  Tolbert =self explanatory.
